#1 ironcat Jul 09, 2004 13:47:40	Thinking of getting back into the game after a LONG time. I've currently got the 1st e books (PHB, MM, DMG), but am interested in the Planescape and Dark Sun settings. 1. Is it possible to play these settings with 1st e? 2. Are there any good websites related to these setings - history, pics, maybe ever some discussions of the various products? Seems I remember there were DS minis, and I'd like to see them. 3. Is one of these settings better than the other? I was thinks of downloading the basic boxes for each and giving them a look. Thanks in advance for the input.
#2 Elendur Jul 09, 2004 16:11:50	For the most part, yes, it should work in 1e. Dark Sun uses the Complete Psionics Handbook, so you'd probably need that. I only have experience with Dark Sun, and I loved it. There are also many fans of Planescape, so its just a matter of preference.
#3 zombiegleemax Jul 11, 2004 16:54:34	I wouldn't think you'd have any real problems. You'll need to do some minor converting but nothing that will be difficult. And if you're using the revised Dark Sun boxed set you'll have a better psionic system to use as well (though you'll still probably need the complete book of psionics). I don't keep up with too many fan-sites so I can't help you there really but I'm sure there are tons of them if you do a net search. As for which boxed set to get, in the case of Dark Sun I'd say the revised boxed set is a much better buy. It has about three or four times the information of the original one and is one of the more complete boxed sets TSR ever released.
