The caster cannot attack or cast offensive spells through it. Now my question is can a caster with this spell in effect jump or fall to where normaly they would take damage and the spell absorb the damage? Thanks |

It could go either way -- it would not be extremely unbalanced to allow it, since featherfall is also 1st level, and the spell's usefulness is not really hampered by denying it. So, it's mostly a flavor matter, depending on whether the effect is a sort of force field that blocks incoming blows (in which case it would not prevent falling damage) or a cushion effect (in which case it would work for falling damage). |
