If you find psions overpowered in your game where you get in 1-2 fights in a day, or you find your players resting 3 times in a dungeon that takes them 20 minutes of battling unrealistic, then this system should help. Recuperate After every fight, characters may rest for 5 minutes. They regain 1/4 of their maximum hit points (rounded down). Psions regain 1/4 of their maximum power points (rounded down). Classes: All spellcaster classes are banned. Paladins lose their spells and regain all their smites by recuperating. Rangers lose their spells and get animal companion starting at 1st, not 4th. Barbarians can rage 1/encounter. Casters are replaced by Tome of Battle classes and Warlock-type classes. How's that?
