Apr 14, 2007 6:27:20 The staff of the magi gives the ability to ''plane travel'' by spending 2 charges.Does anyone know how exactly this works.Is it some kind of spell,teleporting or something like the druid's power of entering some planes???

According to the DM's guide for 1st edition, the Staff of Magi's "Plane Travel" power is similar to the Psionic power "Probability Travel". It also says that, "travel is possible only to the various planes."

My best guess would be that an individual using the power would be able to physically travel to (and only to) the Inner Planes:
Prime Material
Positive Material
Negative Material
Elemental Planes of:
- Air
- Water
- Earth
- Water
and Ethereal
