Sep 20, 2006 13:16:39 It seems like finally I will be seeing and reading the 1990 or 1991 Dwarves Deep book by TSR and by Ed Greenwood for the ADandD 2nd edition rpg with the Abeir-Toril Forgotten Realms fantasy campaign world setting. I am getting it from a Borders bookstore that has a used, collectible, and out-of-print option for buying books. I am dying to see and read about the half-dwarf and half-human as a race that is supposedly in that book. From that book, does any person know if a half-dwarf and half-human can be 5 ft. and 5 in. tall so that it matches my height?

A half-human and half-dwarf, from that sourcebook, can be up to a foot taller than a regular dwarf. A regular dwarf could be 4 ft. and 5 in. tall, so a half dwarf could be 5 ft. and 5 in. tall.

In other words, in accord with the 1991 Dwarves Deep book for the 2nd edition ADandD rpg with the fantasy campaign of Abeir-Toril Forgotten Realms, a half-dwarf and half-human is a mix from which dwarven subrace and from which name-culture of humans?

Sep 26, 2006 16:39:27 The book doesn't mention "Sundered dwarfs", I don't know the name myself, maybe they appeared after this book was written. The book talks about "Sheild dwarfs", which are the same as "Mountain Dwarfs". Sheild dwarfs can cross breed with humans. Gold dwarfs (same as Hill Dwarfs) can also cross breed with humans. I think you will be disapointed in what this book says about half dwarfs, its not as detailed as you seem to think it must be. A four paragraph section on half dwarfs. A few comments elsewhere about how half dwarfs are thought of and interact within full dwarf comunities, that's about it.
