This is a joint project by WizO_BigSister and kiwidoc … we not only both share a country of origin, we share a love of good art. We collected a list of galleries that include portraits that could be RPG characters. These portraits are for you to enjoy, and maybe to inspire you with some new ideas and visions of what your PCs and NPCs could be. This list was not made for you to make illegal use of the images. Please respect the artist’s copyright. We hope that if you like an artist’s work maybe you could commission your own character portrait or buy a print.

Our definition of “Portraits” includes the standard “head & shoulders” and “full body against minimal background” portraits, but it also includes other images of an individual or pair that we think represent characters rather than scenes. As well as humanoids we have included various sentient “creatures” that can be played as PCs or NPCs. There is a huge range of styles and media, and the images were created for a wide range of purposes but they are all great characters.

These galleries are all of professional quality, and a significant proportion of individual portraits (with the occasional pair). If only some of the galleries on a site are portrait galleries then a note will tell you which galleries to open.

Some galleries may contain mild nudity. However no gallery contains more marked nudity, strong violence or other material of an adult nature. The list of galleries with this type of image can be found in the Mature Think Tank. [b]You must be 17 or older to enter that forum.[/b]
