Hello.
First of all, I would say that english isn't my native language so I appologize for any mistake I'm gona do.

I'm trying to build a wizard lvl 10 to play the FR campain "City of the Spider Queen"

Books allowed : 3 core books, Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, Magic of Faerun, Player's Guide to Faerûn.

Here are my dices roll : 17 18 15 9 11 16 wich could give : Str9, Dex16, Con17, Int18, Wis11, Cha15.

For the race, I like the sun Elves but I'm open to any other ideas.

Actually, my problem is the book restriction : no codex, no Spell Compendium etc. I'm used to use lots of books...

So, with the given books, the good build I see is something lie this :

Wiz 5/Incantatrix 5 and keep going until lvl 15 with Incantatrix then Archmage.
And maybe a Deviner with Evocation and Necromancy as forbiden schools even if the DM told me that I will need Magic Missile, Fire Boll and some other in Evocation school.
What do you think of it and wich feats do you think I should take?

Then, for the stuff, I have 49000po for everything so?

Thank for your help.

Wizard 5/Incantatrix 5 is a solid start to any wizard build, and Incantatrix 10 (if using the PGtF version) isn't going to get you any complaints. I don't think that Archmage is worth 5 levels, but if that's your best option from the books allowed then that's not a bad one.

I, personally, would switch the Charisma and the Wis in your stats, but that's just me. Your will saves are going to be enormous eventually, but unless you're planning on being a socialite charisma isn't going to do anything for you (and Spot and Listen are both kinda important).

Sun Elf is a good choice of race with your book limitations for a Wizard. I think Fire Elves are slightly better (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/elementalRacialVariants.htm#fireElves) but that's about it.

I think you'd be better off going Conjurer 5 than Diviner 5. Drop Ench, Evo, and Necromancy. I love Diviners more than the next guy but with the spell choice limitations and me not knowing how easy it is for you to research, I can't recommend you blowing one of your 'free' spells every level on a divination. Conjuration's MUCH easier to pick a good 'free' spell every level. You do not need Magic Missile or Fireball. In fact, numerically, the latter is inferior to almost every other 3rd level spell (Haste does more damage). About the only evocation that really sucks to lose out of core is Contingency, but you can fake that with Greater Shadow Evocation.

For Feats: I would look at, (since you plan on going Archmage), Spell Focus: Conj and Spell Focus: (either Illusion, Transmutation, or Abjuration). The metamagic feats I'd be first to pick are Extend, Persist, Quicken, and Chain, with Empower being a close 5th.

For Spells, make sure you look through the 'Gods Tools' threads. I can link them if you can't find them on a google. And also check out the Wizards as Batman and Wizards as God articles.

For Items:

49,000gp out of Core and FR material (I'm assuming you use the standard that no single item can be more than 1/4th your gp)...

Headband of Int +2 (4,000gp)
Hand of Glory (8,000gp)
Ring of Sustenance (2,500gp)
Heward's Handy Haversack (2,000gp)
Vest of Health (Con) +2 (4,000gp)
Cloak of Resistance +3 (9,000gp)
Gauntlets of Dexterity +2 (4,000gp)
Spellcraft Competence Tool +5 (2,500gp)
Spellcraft Masterwork Tool +2 (50gp)

That leaves you like 13k to play with for spells/focus items/mundane gear, or anything else you want to tack on. I am assuming with Incantatrix's native abilities you would be using persisted buffs for most of the bonus types so I didn't want to stack too much of them on there since the buffs would overwrite them.

Thank for your help.
As pithica said, I raised Wisdom to 15 but I made a Transmutateur specialist instead of conjurer.
