Hello and glad to meet your forum Laughing

i am in a party and i want to create a 2 weapon human ranger
i would like to give me some ideas or something like a guide for building him
maybe some multiclassing tips and an prestige class that suits him for next sessions

in the abilities section i got lucky and i rolled
16/16/12/11/13/11 i am think puting them in  str/dex/con/int/wis/cha
i also have to choose two feats i think dodge is one good option

about the weapons i will get two weapon fighting in 2nd level
so i will have -2 to main hand and by using a light weapon in off having a -2 also

thank you for your time

you'd be surprised how little Dex can matter with a two weapon Ranger, you get away with murder in that the dex prereqs for Two Weapon Fighting don't matter for you. Consider upping Con (to the 16), or Wis (and make Con 13 if you do that).

Dodge is surprisingly bad, unless you're taking it for a prerequisite. Consider Power Attack and potentially Improved Bull Rush (as a prerequisite to later feats). If Multiclassing's not out of the question for you the following dips are very strong for Ranger, and as a Human you can do both with no XP penalty.

Swordsage (Tome of Battle) can get you access to several very nice maneuvers and stances that help grant you flexible combat options, if you really want the high Dex then this dip is even better as you can get Dex to damage with Shortswords (Don't use power attack if doing this option). 2 levels is usually enough if spaced right.

Barbarian (Complete Champion's totem substitution feature, for Lion), to get pounce at level 1. This can be extremely potent if using charge feats and improving your power attack ability using stuff like Favored Power Attack (Complete Warrior), Leap Attack (Complete Adventurer) and Shock Trooper (Complete Warrior).

One of the best multiclass options is to take 3-4 levels of Scout (Complete Adventurer), and take the feat Swift Hunter (Complete Scoundrel), consider doing this as well as a small Barbarian dip. If your group uses XP penalties a build order that works well looks something like 2 Ranger/4 Scout/3 Barbarian/+11 Ranger

If Dragon material is allowed, the Diopsid is a strong choice for only a +1 LA, that is, if you aren't stuck on being a human.

They look at two-weapon fighting pre-reqs and giggle.

I was thinking a Revenant Blade would be a great fit for a TWF Ranger... But that requires elf, and there's a (currently) unresolved debate over whether that or the Swift Hunter is actually better.

So do both, make a decent Swift Hunting Revenant Blade as an intellectual challenge, and watch everything that opposes you die.  Pardon my ignorance, but how hard can it be to pull it off?  If both have their awesome points, and you're having a hard time choosing, try to build something that can do both decently well.

Revenant Blade and Swift Hunter work well in their own rights, but they weaken when put together. There's actually a battle between the two that's supposed to be happening... Sometime.
