I'm starting to play in a 11th lvl campaign

I was planning on playing a roguish char, but one who could handle a little melee combat

I thought of two weapon fighting for a nice SA damage

But I don’t really know how to build it, and what classes to use, normally I'm the caster

My DM allowed me to use the 3.0 Ninja Spy (OA), looked like a nice class…

All 3.5 books are allowed, no flaw, no dragon magazine.

The stats are 17,16,15,14,12,10 I can trade some reductions on the others to turn the 17 into a 18, but it would be expensive according to my DM.

Any race is allowed except monsters.

PS: Not allowed to take assassin, or else the party "pally" (Fist of Raziel) would kill me =/

Any other class/prestige would be OK. As long as I get at least 6+int skill points in the average.

Can anyone help me? I didn’t find anything on the search, did I miss it?

Sorry for the crappy English, not my native language.

Tnks.

The campaign starts at 11th lvl, and will probably even go epic.

Other things I forgot to mention, standard 66,000 gp, no LA buyout, custom items are allowed.

Thanks, B4siK

Yes, you failed at searching. There's another thread right on the front page asking about something similar, and that thread contains a link to the rogue's handbook. The short summary: if you want a melee rogue, think swordsage, and possibly the feat rogue variant.

I agree that Ninja Spy is a good class. I've played one and enjoyed it a lot. I also agree that you should take at least two levels of Swordsage, with the second coming after you have 6 character levels of something else so you can get Assassin's Stance for +2d6 sneak attack. The Shadow Blade feat is also awesome, and goes perfectly with this.

Much of what Ninja Spy could do, a Swordsage dip could also do.

How about

Rogue 4 / Swashbuckler 3 / Rogue +X?

Feats: Daring Outlaw + TWF tree

I mean, yeah it's been done- but this is the classic melee fighter/rogue.

I might mention:

Swordsage 1 / Swashbuckler 6 / Swordsage+1
Taking Daring Outlaw at 9th level, qualifying without rogue levels at all and getting full SA for all those Swashbuckler levels whenever Assassin's Stance is used.

Working with what others here have suggested, but tying it all together:

Race: Whisper Gnome, Human, Strongheart Halfling
Atts: Dex>Int>Str or Wis>Con>Cha
Classes: Rogue 2/Swashbuckler 2/Swordsage 1/Ranger 2/Swordsage 1/Swashbucler 1/Rogue 2/Ninja Spy 8/Swordsage 1 (or Eternal Blade, if you can finagle it)
Feats: TWF Tree, Craven (Champions of Ruin, gives you LVL in extra SA dmg), Shadow Blade, Deadly Precision (C.Psi, reroll 1's on SA, not actually a psionic feat, never been sure why it's even in that book), whatever else strikes your fancy.
Summary: Great striker w/good evasive abilities (and +16 BAB for that extra itterative), skill monkey (w/Trapfinding and UMD), utility (Swordsage maneuvers, extra feat slots)

Equipment for this character would depend on your desired fighting style, skills you plan on buying up, etc.  Someone else could probably do load out better than me, so I won't go into detail.  But I would recommend weapons that add SA dmg, there's one in MIC and one in a Web Enhancement somewhere.
