| #1kahless-srApr 26, 2014 0:31:21 | ok so I have a 3.5 lev 6 ranger with 14 wis, the question is how many spells do I know and how many can I cast per day, all I know for sure is I am now a caster lev 3….. I believe, please help thanks alot |

a. The SRD tells you, under Ranger how many spells you get: 1 first-level spell. b. Under The Basics - Abilities and Spellcasters it tells you how many bonus spells you have. : 1 first level bonus spell. Ignore the +1 under 2nd level spells, since by (a) you cannot cast any yet.
As to how many spells you known, theoretically, every ranger spell ever published. Practically, any your DM allows.
Try and learn to use the SRD, though. We all had to begin somewhere, but it helps a lot finding your way around that site. |

| #4SyltorianApr 26, 2014 8:23:48 | SRD - System Reference Documents: http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm
The core rules and a few others (epic rules, psionics, Unearthed Arcana variants), minus a few trademark critters (yuan-ti,...) at your disposal, free, gratis and for nothing. Essentially, documents to refer to when you want to know how the system works.
Your first go-to place for any problem.
Also, what allowed 3rd-party publishers to built on 3.0 and 3.5 rules without infringing copyright. |
| #5Tempest_StormwindApr 26, 2014 8:25:38 | System Reference Document, I.e. the core rules (and a few extras), stripped of flavor text and WotC intellectual property, then given away for free. Doubles as a handy online rules reference when it's properly organized (like d20srd.org is). |

Oh, and to actually answer the question a Ranger 6 with WIS 14 can prepare two 1st-level spells each day. Officially, those spells can be ANY 1st-level Ranger spell you find from any source. When you reach Ranger 8 you will be able to cast one 2nd-level spell because your high WIS score will give you a bonus 2nd-level spell slot. |
