Ok so here is what I have. Im playing a level three earth genasi paladin. Im going for melee only no casting. We are also playing the Pathfinder rules. My stats, as i rolled them, with the built in race modifiers are as fallowed:
Str: 19
Dex: 13
Con: 18
Int: 11
Wis: 8
Cha: 18

My question would be what two feats should I go for for strength now AND later. Im going to use the earth shaker from that book but make it a great and im going to need the Exotic Weap. Prof for it. Now the second one I was thinking Power Attack, but on my last character the power attack was good now and then but later on it wasn't, as i say wow worthy. Any ideas to flow with this would be awesome. Please let me know.

Oh also we are playing in a Planescape setting and he is a mercykiller, if that makes things different

Take a peek into complete champion if you really don't want casting, it provides you two options for giving up spellcasting. One gives you bonus feats and one gives you some mobility options.

Yeah I was going with the one that gives bonus feats because were not playing a grid based game. There is no move rate or AoO. They want to play it more 2ed but with the pathfinder rules... I dont know i didnt start playing till 3.5

Okay, the mobility one gives up special mount. Not spells. I was wrong. whooops.

in addition to granting an increase in base land speed, you get a bonus to dark vision, jump, balance and climb checks, can use spike stone as SLA 1/day, you get earth glide, and DD as SLA 1/every 5 paladin levels you have. Obviously, you don't get that all at once.

Personally, that or charging smite are good variants to use depending on your play style.

All power attack the time is a good strategy for melee types. BUT, you need to use it intelligently. You need to maximize your return. This starts with using a two-handed weapon. Next, you take leap attack to double the return of power attack on a jump. Then you find a way to get pounce. The easiest way is to go paladin of freedom X/lion totem barbarian 1. Now you charge-pounce-power attack your enemies to death. There are otherways of getting a bigger return, like combat brute's momentum swing option. After maximizing your return, you find a way to offset the penalty of power attack. True Strike is a good way. Shocktrooper provides an option that turns you into a glasscannon by assigning PA's penalty to armor class instead of attack rolls.

If you go this route, you want to have a reach weapon. Increasing your size is important as well. Anything that increases the range between you and your opponent while letting you attack him safely is good. Use a glaive.

Though, I'm not sure what an earth shaker is, it's reach and you want to go with a charge and kill build, go for it. If not, you need to be sure not to turn into a glass cannon.

Thanks for the reply again, its been a couple of days that i have been in.

The Earth Breaker is a 2handed wep that does 2d6. its a maul.

Ill have to check into the leap attack to get that double return on my jump attacks. As for pounce, the dm's are sticking hard core to the 2ed style of play and since im a Earth Genasi they can't cross class with anything of they are a Paladin. (They want this game to be a specific "Flavor" of play.)

So since i cant get pounce with the totem barbarian would it be worth trying to get the charge, pounce, power attack combo?

So here is an up to date of what I have going for me so far in the new Planescape Campaign that we will be starting this Monday night. It will be our new weekly gaming night.

I'm a Earth Genasi, Level 3 (3.5 pathfinder) Paladin, I'm also a Mercy Killer in the planes, melee build so no casting. Str19, Dex13, Con18, Int11, Wis8, Cha18. I have 35 HP.

Gear: Masterwork Great Earth Breaker (Pathfinder) 3d6+6. Masterwork Full Plate. ChainShirt for the camp fires and when im not a walking tank.

The feats i am taking at the start are Exotic Weap. Prof. (Great Earth Breaker) and Power Attack. The next two feats would be Overhand Chop (Pathfinder feat that adds double your Str bonus to two handed weapon, as a standard action, instead of 1.5) and Leap Attack. This gets me to level 5 in feats.

Other feats I am looking at are Awesome Smite, Divine Might and Back swing, this is the next feat in the chain after Overhand Chop. It lets you get triple your Str bonus on your first attack roll. And possible to fallow up in the chain after Overhand chop, Devastating Blow, which as a standard action if you hit, with a -5 penalty, it is a auto crit.

Im not sure if Overhand Chop, Back Swing, or Devastating Blow are in any other books that's why i stated what they do. Just in case.

The question I guess i have is how does this look to you, does everything stack safely, and do you see anything that might be needed to be changed out because its not as effective or there is something that is similar but a little better. I don't have all the books but the place we play at has them, so if you name something and the book it is from that would be cool.
