| #1clocsMar 30, 2009 15:52:55 | Hi everyone, A few days ago I stumbled against the feat "Battle Blessing" from Complete Champion and have been thinking about a potent Paladin-build, that is capable of meelee battle as well as selfsupport through casting, thus requiring a PrC with at least full BAB and Spellprogression - which led me to the Sacred Fist from Complete Divine. I was thinking about something like this: Race: Human Str 17 Dex 16 Con 14 Int 12 Wis 18 Cha 7 1 Monk [Power Attack][Combat Casting][Bon:Stunning Fist] 2 Monk [Bon:Combat Reflexes] 3 Paladin [Ascetic Knight (Comp.Adv.)] 4 Paladin 5 Paladin 6 Paladin [Serenity (DragComp.)] 7 Paladin 8 Paladin 9 Sacred Fist [Battle Blessing (Comp.Chmp.)] 10 Sacred Fist 11 Sacred Fist 12 Sacred Fist [Awesome Smite (Comp.Chmp.)] 13 Sacred Fist 14 Sacred Fist 15 Sacred Fist [Superior Unarmed Strike (Bo9S)? (or) Practised Spellcaster (Comp.Arc.)?] 16 Sacred Fist 17 Sacred Fist 18 Sacred Fist [Improved Natural Attack?] 19 ? 20 ? Substitutions: Decisive Strike instead of Flurry of Blows (PHB2) Mystic Fire Knight (Champions of Valor) The first feedback I got was primarily about the low Charisma-stat, stating that there could be no Paladin with that a low Charisma score, roleplay-wise. I still tend to disagree, but that's not the question, I'm rather asking for advice in rounding up the whole concept. What do you think? I'm always happy for any ideas! Cheers, clocs |

If you're going for a more self sufficient melee caster, I think Practiced Spellcaster at level 15 would be the better choice, bumping Superior Unarmed strike to 18. As for the final two levels, I would go with something that has full divine casting (at least for the first two levels) to give your spellcasting a boost. |
