[3.5] Using e-tools.. huge greatsword?

Jan 26, 2009 19:09:47 Okay, I'm a level 6 half-ogre barbarian. E-tools says that, as a large creature, I can use a Huge Greatsword for 3d8 critx2. Can this be verified somehow?

I see the following...

Giant Blood: For all special abilities
and effects, a half-ogre is considered a
giant. Half-ogres can use giant weapons
and magic items with racially specific
giant powers as if they were giants.

Jan 26, 2009 19:18:06 A Large greatsword is 3d6 19-20 x2, a Huge greatsword is 4d6 19-20 x2. As a half-ogre, you would be wielding a Large greatsword naturally.

Jan 27, 2009 0:15:12 Could you be thinking of a bastard sword upsized twice, or a fullblade upsized once, rather than a greatsword increased one or two size categories?

Jan 27, 2009 3:18:11 E-tools is 3.0, the weapon size rules were completely changed in 3.5. In 3.5 a medium character would wield a medium greatsword for 2d6 damage, or a large character would wield a large greatsword for 3d6 damage.
