| #1EkkoeMay 15, 2011 17:00:54 | Hey people, I came for your help. This tuesday we're starting an E6 campaign, that is, max level is 6 after which you gain a feat every 5000 xp. I decided I wanted to play this agent sort of fellow with a rapier. I went for 1 level of rogue and LG alignment. Now I was hoping to go fighter / rogue with tumble, going for flanks, but recently my DM, who's initial rules where "core only", allowed a friend to play scout, so now I'm afraid I will be outplayed in my own game. The initial plan was Rogue / Fighter / 4x Rogue for full sneak attack action, but also breast plate and buckler proficiency for some sweet armor. This'd seem like a really cool combination to me also, and there's the feat of course. I don't want to pick up scout, sick as a scout / rogue combo may be, simply because i feel I'd just be copying, but the advantage of the situation is that my DM has allowed me to take Swasbuckler, so that'd be nice with the Daring Outlaw feat for full Sneak Attack. My stats are: 17 14 10 17 10 12 There's no freedom there, they were natural rolls. I picked up improved initiative and haven't decided on my second feat yet, as I'm human, but my first level is definitely rogue. So that's the story, just about. I'd be really glad if I found an effective way of playing a breastplate / buckler / rapier type of warrior, but I foresee that you're all going to knock me over the head if I don't pick up Swasbuckler with Daring Outlaw, but it's my preference anyway. The campaign will be heavy on the storytelling and my character isn't particularly violent, so I'm open to a full rogue skill-monkey, but I'd like to have an effective alternative if the campaign turns violent (which I'm sure it will). I hope you can help, thanks for coming this far anyway! Cheers, Peter aka Ekkoe |
