I have spent some time mapping out my character all the way to what I expect would be one of my best levels. So I'm all the way to level 9 and I have a problem. I would like to know are their any feats that would improve my ability to hit? Like increase my base attack bonus or something? Maybe even at the cost of some damage?

Currently, I'm at level 4. 2 levels in fighter, 2 levels in ranger.

Any feats are welcome (including netbook feats, or feats from obscure sources).

Aside from Weapon Focus feats there are racial substitution levels from either UA or PHBII that, depending on your race, can boost your to hit bonus (but NOT BAB). While not feats, they are class ablity swaps so they are very feat LIKE.

Also, in Comp Champ there is the Law Devotion feat. It allows you 10 rounds of a boost to attack or AC, choosable as a free action at the start of your round. It starts small but gets up to a +7 as you level up. If you have turns per day you can permanently sacrifice some to get additional uses per day from the feat.

If your a dwarf check Races of Stone to see if there are feats that add onto axes attack bonus. Not 100% sure on this as I am AFB.

Later on, to-hit is almost a non-factor, even wizards can smack the Tarrasque in the fanny 9 times out of 10, and that's not with a touch attack!

As for the moment, I find reducing their AC to be better than increasing your hit, as not only do you hit more often, your allies do, too!

As for reducing AC, an old favourite of mine is trip. Ah, lovely trip. Just don't trip something bigger than you. It WILL trip you back.

Destruction domain's devotion feat, I believe, is hilariously effective at reducing AC

the tarrasque is only AC 35, there are many nonepic builds and monsters which can have an AC in the 50s or 60s with buffs and items and if you min-max a lot you could get even higher than that, i'm sure its possible to break 100 AC before epic

You may wish to look into situational ways of boosting your attack rolls.

For example, flanking gives +2 to-hit. Charging gives another +2 (but there is an AC penalty). If your wizard manages to hit the foe with glitterdust, it is blinded, which gives you +2 to-hit and making it flat-footed (possibly reducing its AC further). Bless (from the cleric) gives +1 to-hit. Tripping might work, but you will need to sink a fair amount of resources into ensuring a reasonable chance of success (in the very least, enlarge person + improved trip).

Ranger? Train attack dogs (or preferrably, attack voles) to Aid Another your attack roll. Keep it in moderation to avoid your DM smacking you.
