playing in Ebberon campaign setting, here is current party makeup

Warforged fighter2/scout4, acts as tank, 18 con, will continue to advance as scout.

Dwarf Duskblade 6, full plate.

Spellthief 6, rougueish.

Shugenja 6, heals buffs and debuffs.

and me, Human warmage 6, shoots damage piles.

was considering changing char, would like to keep ranged focused, as that is kinda lacking in party. Considered making mounted halfling archer, as DM would allow to pick up dino with druid/ranger animal companion or wild cohort feat.

Whats the best way i can chuck lots of damage dice downrange?

I always have a similar problem..

What your party is:
Scout (Tank, you said so)
Duskblade (should be tank wit some spells)
spelltheif (should be rouge wit some spells)
Shugenjua (what you said)

and your description "chucks lots of damage downrange"

I would suggest building some sort of nuking build (AoE, ray spells, etc.) wit some utility spells to cover the areas ur shugenjua can't cover.
Each individual in your party is versatile, so I sugest being versatile as well, but in "a different way" =B

If you don't want to be a mage: look at my sig
the last build is a good buffing/nuking build using a BARD

Your party would do so much better if you instead focused on buffing them or debuffing/controlling the battlefield.

Trust me. So. Much. Better.

Check out the changeling substitution levels for wizard in Races of Eberron.

I'm sure Doc_Rock has a recaster/war weaver who could be awesome for this...

A Dragonfire bard will let you do great ranged damage.

I have, in fact, both a dragon fire bard at level six, and a War Weaver recommendation!

Variety, yes, I can!

Here is the Bard. It's a little messy, sorry. I use the contested reading of Words of Creation, because I'm a terrible person.

The standard war weaver build runs like this:
Wizard 3/ War Weaver 5/ Irrelevant Win-Fodder.
We use a technique of your choice to early-entry war weaver, but you will need to take a flaw to do so.
Alternatively:
Wizard 5/ War Weaver 5 is perfectly fine and frees up a lot of feats. Important as a changeling!

You can use recaster as Irrelevant Win-Fodder and I feel it's a great choice, but you should rush to L5 of War Weaver due to the capstone ability basically freeing you from all the restrictions of the class. If you do use Recaster, please do me a favor and pick Favor of the Martyr and Arcane Spellsurge.

If you really want to play a halfling archer that rides on a dinosaur.... You could easily mix ranger and scout and go with a swift hunter build. But I agree with everyone that you should consider playing something that would help your group out more.

click the link, that has everything you'll need to chuck large amounts of damage from the back of your dinosaur.

I was going to suggest a DFI bard.

But since it's already been covered, I'll just mention something about the DFI bard that's already been mentioned.

Dragonfire Inspiration keys off of the IC's attack bonus. Therefore, a Masterwork Mandolin (Giving a +1 AB on IC) would be more optimal than a Masterwork Horn (+1 damage on IC) in this case, no?

If you're going ranged, staying bard and heading into SC, etc., would likely be for the best, unless you feel like dropping bard at 4, picking up warblade, and getting to bloodstorm blade 4 and master thrower 1 as fast as possible.

If you're considering melee at all... warblade, song of the white raven. Yum.

DFI bards are way up there on my favorite fifth-wheel characters.

Just to reiterate: You would be better off buffing your party. And it will make your other players have more fun too.

Dr_Rocktopus's build looks good and would do this well

DFI, AFI's more bad-ass, dragony cousin.
