| #1thehatMay 23, 2009 16:13:19 | So I keep hearing about this enhancement, especially in carnivore's "Duskarcher" Build that is placed on the weapons: http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=525.msg69667#msg69667 My question is, where is this enhancement located? Is it also as cracked up as people claim it to be? |
| #2jgumbyrxMay 23, 2009 16:56:38 | just how many screen names do you have? ![]() i count 4 so far. |
| #3thehatMay 23, 2009 17:05:06 | ...I do? That's odd. I only recall making this one. |
| #4jgumbyrxMay 23, 2009 17:06:31 | must have you confused with someone else. sorry. nvm |
| #5magicdealerMay 24, 2009 5:50:38 | Are you sure about that? Accurate? Because I couldn't find a single entry with accurate in it for that build/ Ctrl + F ftw! The entries he has for weapon enchantments for that build are: Bloodstone Shattermantle Sizing Speed Whirling The only Accurate Weapon Enchantment I ever remember reading about was a homebrew enchantment that put truestrike on your weapon. Of course it wasn't using the item creation rules at all correctly to do so, and thus wasn't a *real* enchantment. It was along the lines of a player deciding he wants his ac higher and creating a feat that boosts it by whatever he feels like. Can you provide a link where the actual "accurate" weapon enhancement is listed? |

| #7cruMay 24, 2009 6:46:29 | Found something in Star Wars RPG Saga Edition errata: 4 Accurate weapon: This weapon takes no penalty when firing at targets at short range. 5 Inaccurate weapon: This weapon cannot fire at targets at long range. |
| #8magicdealerMay 24, 2009 8:13:09 | Well, after a ridiculous amount of googling, I decided to reverse-engineer this guy's weapon. it's a +1 Accurate Splitting Force Elvencraft longbow. The elvencraft is +300g, and lets you intersperce ranged attacks with melee attacks. Force is +3 Splitting is +3 and it's a +1 Mighty Composite +7 700g Masterwork 300g So before Accurate, the budget is already 99,300 gold. His listed budget was 99400g, so whatever Accurate is = 100g or so, assuming he did his math right. I checked the numbers for damage/attack rolls, and they all fit in, which means there was no missing hole from Accuracy to attack rolls or damage. So whatever Accurate was meant to be, if indeed more than just a title, it wasn't very much. All the other abilities he listed match up to other magical items or abilities. |
| #9cruMay 24, 2009 12:48:56 | I guess the missing 100 gold is the base price of a composite longbow. ![]() |
| #10thehatMay 24, 2009 13:35:41 | Well, after a ridiculous amount of googling, I decided to reverse-engineer this guy's weapon. HUH. So much for that, then. All that research for nothing. Melee Attack bonus= BAB+20 +12 Dex+ 5 Enhancement +1 Haste= +38 Maybe that enhancement was someone casting Greater Magic Weapon or something? |
| #11cruMay 24, 2009 14:16:52 | Maybe that enhancement was someone casting Greater Magic Weapon or something? The +5 enhancement comes from Arcane Archer's Enhance Arrow class feature. |
