| #1ogduMay 05, 2008 21:33:02 | the group i joined up with a bit back is jumping back into their old campaign, and i had to come up with a 9th level PC. the DM described it as a "dragon war" style game, somewhat like Dragonlance's Huma legends. i am almost always the support type player (bards) or ranged experts (scouts/rangers). so i wanted to make something different that could stand the front line... lvl 8 Air Genasi Fighter (was told to give him above-average stats) S 20 (after level gains) D 16 C 18 I 14 W 13 C 15 hp: 88 F: +10, R: +5, W: +3 speed: 50' AC: 22 is an Outsider, has Quick trait from UA (+10' speed/-1hp/lvl), and can levitate 1/day (racial), no need to breath either. FEATS: True Believer (bahamut), Power Attack, Weapon Focus (spear), Improved Init, Leap of the Heavens, Weapon Spec (spear), Powerful Charge, and Leap Attack Skills (with ranks): Intimidate 9 (+11), Jump 11 (+29), Knowledge (arcana) 5.5 (+7.5), Tumble 5.5 (+8.5), speaks Common, Auran, Draconic Gear: +2 Eager Spear, +2 Mithril Breastplate of Landing, Piercer's Cloak, Ring of Protection +2, Boots of Striding and Springing does this seem like a decent PC? like i said i'm not used to melee fighters. his best attack would be to levitate above an enemy then drop down, initiating a charge for lots of damage. obviously can't do that all the time...could he still stand up to 9th level dangers? does it seem like a decent build? i'm basically looking to start the battle with a charge (Init +9) at the more dangerous foes (spellcasters in the back); i believe he could actually jump right over some medium-sized guys...really hoping not too many baddies set against a charge. thanks in advance for any feedback! |

| #5slimgoodbodyMay 06, 2008 5:38:30 | http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=5436939 Read it. Know it. Love it. Tempest Stormwind will never steer you wrong, ever. The man is a beast. That said, the thread and build are several years old. You could probably take some elements and update them, or bring them here for the gang to pick apart and make new notes on. |
