| #1clerichunterJul 05, 2013 22:20:12 | Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a bit, but now it's time to get my feet wet. I'm joining a party already in play, and I'm noticing that it's very melee heavy. As such, I'm thinking of bringing a Caster/Skill Monkey/Healer Cleric to the table to round things out. The Party consists of an Elf Melee Ranger, Human Paladin, and I believe an Orc Fighter or Barbarian (haven't heard much about him) all level 4 at the moment. Book availability is by request, so already I'm thinking of going along the lines of a Human Cloistered Cleric to open up the skills, along with the Luck and Trickery Domains (I'm told I'll get Dragon Domain for free as part of the story) What I need help with though are the following: 1) Is this a sound move considering the party? 2) What sort of feats should I invest in? 3) What should my spell list and equipment list look like? (also, no nightsticks). Also if there are any other suggestions, I'm more than happy to hear them. |

You've already got a skill monkey in the Rogue/Ranger (who would be better off as a Scout/Ranger with Swift Hunter). You don't need to be a dedicated healer (Tempest has the link), and you can be AT LEAST as good at melee as everyone else in the party, with the possible exception of the barbarian. Also, I remember that, for a while, there was a recommendation of the Kobold domain, but I don't remember why. |
