| #1neilthrunSep 29, 2010 22:48:02 | Hey guys, I'm making a desert half-orc barbarian(bear totem)/Pugilist/Wizard/HorizonWalker. I'm not going to write out the whole build (suffice to say it uses Iron Jaw, Troll Blooded and Poison Healer to be an uber meat shield), but I need the wizard level both for knowledge geography and a tiny viper familar (to bite me everyroung and activate poison healer). What I don't really need are the spell slots, considering I'll be raging most of the time. I've already got a 1 round of buff time with a potion of bears endurance, and don't really want to use spell slots for buffing. Nor do I want to get twilight or blended quartz armor to deal with spell failure. So, what do with the spell slots? I'm looking for some kind of ability like reserve feats or Arcane Strike (complete warrior) that allows me to benifit from having uncast spells or sacrificing spell slots. Anyone got ideas? |

I don't think mount will be usefull. As far a spells go, blades of flame and deep breath seem like decent choices for no arcane spell failure, but they're of limited use if I'm raging. |

It's not like it really cost you an action you'll miss. Most of the time it won't fail, anyway. So it's like a free +5 to initiative 90% of the time. |

So, it costs 1,850 gp to get a chain shirt with no arcane spell failure chance. |
