The main character for this story is a kobold, the one created with help from this CharOp board (thank you contributors.) the original thread can be located here.

Anyways, the first day of our new desert campaign, the party is the following, all characters are ECL 5, all started with 12000gp and access to a dragon's hoard for purchasing whatever we wanted with that 12000gp:
A dragonwraught kobold (sand heritage) sorceress (me)
A dragonwraught kobold (eternium heritage, DM's PC) Dragonfire Adept
A human druid
An Asherati Binder
A half-genai templated bouka cleric

Our DM didn't ask for specific backstory, as none of us are familiar with his new made up world, so he assigned us locations based on our race as our home areas. Being a kobold, I was born as a servant to his dragon NPC, an eternium dragon named Xanikovas (zahn-ee-k-oh-v-ah-s). The rest of us, for whatever reason we choose, have been working in his employ for the past 10 years, and are thus comerades.

We start in an antichamber to the gargantuan dragon's main chamber, a waiting room so to speak. We have just had several weeks without a mission and we are all eager to get started. My toon had just completed the draconic rite of passage before this, so she was eager to show off her new ability. I chose to give her a flitty, almost annoying attitude and a knack for talking too fast to be understood by others.

soon after we arrive, I summoned a camel (via the mount spell) into the antichamber, which took up most of the space in the small room. Annoyed, the ever-serious druid told me to send it away, expecting it to spit on him. The dm says "the camel turns its head at you," then made a spitting face. The druid totally wanted to kill my character, but luckily the DM made the camel an illusion (because its a summoned camel) and the spit dissipated before it struck the druid. I have this thing for 10 hours and naturally the flitty little kobold loves the thing, so I refuse to unsummon it until it gets stuck in the door to the main chamber.

As a sorcerer, I have a tiny horned lizard as a familiar. Being a 2'6" kobold, I pretty much wear this familiar over one shoulder. Being a cold-blooded lizard, the little creature rarely moves, but as some flare, he rolls his eyes everytime my character does something annoying. To top off the humorous effect of this, he'll occasionally turn his head directly toward his master, open his mouth, and sigh loudly. This caused the group to fall out of their chairs more than once during the first night.

AANyway, back to the story. We enter the main chamber and there's a big table there. I climb up onto it (how else am I supposed to see!?). The big dragon is towering above us, ready to give our orders as soon as we're ready. He starts talking, telling us that there's a new-found part to his domain, and as he is doing this, my character is, of course, paying attention to other things (big room, cracks in walls, big table which didn't fit through any doorways obviously) and basically keeps having to ask what was just said. Anyway, we're told to go clean up the new cave that a recent sandstorm uncovered. We rest for a few hours, then depart on a magic-propelled sand-skimming ship for a day's travel.

Once we're there, we go down a tunnel to a natural-looking cavern complete with stalagtites and a collapsed passage. Nothing here, but as we're searching, our binder, who failed her binding check and is now in a foul mood, wandered down the only other tunnel in the room, so we all rush to follow her. Another empty looking room awaits us, but luckily, our binder friend noticed a large scorpion scurrying into the dirt. we are now being careful. I transform into a brass dragon and start burrowing, looking for more cave to explore. I find nothing, but luckily I have another 49 minutes of this transformation.

We go back to the other chamber, thinking maybe we missed something. suddenly part of the ground gives way, revealing a 50 foot deep hole. I didn't see if anyone fell down it, so I fly down at 150 feet/second, landing at the bottom. 2 swarms of bats appear out from somewhere along the sides of the hole, and somehow keep up with me on the way down (I still protest this dm ruling), I get to act first, and cast my rope trick so I can escape, but DM won't allow me a move action to get inside, and so the bats envelop me for one round, doing 4 damage and causing me to lose 1 hp the following round (I heal checked good). The party (primarily the DM's DFA and the binder because of their breath weapons) make short work of the swarms and we continue.

We search the lower tunnels a little while, and determine that we are dealing with some giant sand-worms, which we find in the next room. The druid, failing to sneak in properly, charges in, the group following, and me riding on a very annoyed binder's shoulders (while my lizard rode on her other shoulder). The druid summons a huge monsterous scorpion as a standard action using a rediculously overpowered (for its price) magic item he bought, and we kill these things in about 3 rounds. I enlarge the binder and she critically misses with her longspear, sticking it in the wall instead of the worm she was trying to hit. the worm lashes out at the druid, dealing 7 temporary strength damage to him, exhausing him. Luckily, his scorpion wasn't exhausted, and kills 2 of the worms in the next round. the last worm gets killed by the scorpion the following round.

We decide to continue next session, so that's where we left off, one character completely disabled and everyone else unable to do anything about it.

I had a lot of fun playing and I can't wait till next time. we'll probalby have to rest off the strength damage to our up-front druid, but hey, we're all alive still lol.
