| #1FielMar 31, 2008 6:19:46 | Hi, im new to this game, and i am currently playing with a bunch of guys who have done this for ages. Im playing a gnome sorcerer (lev 4 atm), and i would like to have some pointers on where to take this little fella. I read about the spellwarp sniper, and that PRc seams really fun. These are my stats: str 10 dex 16 con 16 int 12 wiz 12 cha 18 feats: summon familiar Combat casting point blank shot So guys, tear me into pieces, flame me or just be nice. What will be of my little gnome? |

With a gnome's Con you shouldn't need it even at this low level (and just a 5 ft. step is normally sufficient), and even then Skill Focus (Concentration( is better because it applies in more situations. Can you get rid of it? Precise Shot would be my pick of replacement if you're doing a ray mage. And are you using the familiar? Because the Divine Companion alternate class feature (Complete Champion) is incredibly good as a replacement. Spellwarp Sniper is also pretty poor. It's a nice idea, but changing area spells into rays actually just makes them worse. You're better off with the Unseen Seer from Complete Mage. A 1-level dip into Rogue or Scout is the usual entry, but for a gnome to avoid multiclass penalties you might need to go Rogue or Scout 2 / Sorcerer 3 / Unseen Seer 10 / Spellwarp Sniper or Arcane Trickster 5. |
