| #1davidwlApr 30, 2008 1:00:43 | The obvious application is wizard 20. The almost obvious application would be something like wizard 1/archivist 2/mystic theurge ... However, could I somehow qualify for it without levels in Wizard? Example: Factotum 11/Chameleon 9 .... could this character take uncanny forethought? The problem is that it has spell mastery as a prerequisite, and that requires Wizard 1. Any solutions? Best, David |

I guess the only reason to have both would be to use the AC feat to pull any spell without the CL reduction but cant see any other reason than that. Whens a sweet spot for getting uncanny forethought? If retraining is available, it should be anytime I think, cause you can just retrain your spell mastery as you gain levels and int mod increases. Any thoughts? |

Uncanny forethought will work Int bonus times per day (should easily get to 10+ for a wizard). Alacritous cogitation will only work once per day. Whens a sweet spot for getting uncanny forethought? If retraining is available, it should be anytime I think, cause you can just retrain your spell mastery as you gain levels and int mod increases. It is probably a function of when you have many cool spells you wish you could prepare, but don't have the slots to prepare (or you think you'd have the wrong allocation). If you literally only get 2 spells per wizard level, possibly never. If you end up learning quite a good number of great spells, possibly as early as 1st level. I suspect that I would target 5th or 6th level, assuming a fair amount of spell acquisition. Best, David |

I see it as a all around better choice than AC, justified by more pre-reqs. Anyone have any personal uses of UF to share? What level they got it at, spells they used for spell mastery...etc? |
