So four skill points at first level and one skill point per level after first in exchange for my character's "junk" being half that of the average humanoid.
I was initially very upset by this, and told my DM I was looking for a boost to the half-elf... not shrinkage. He told me that this wasn't a mechanical nerf, and that if I kept my pants on it would never come up in play. I turned to the rest of the group for support but they all had goofy grins on their faces and said they thought this sounded "fair".
So I'm asking this question. Do you think the extra skill points are worth it? I was hoping to play him as a roguish skill-monkey so I'd love to have the extra skill points but I also imagined him as being suave and cool. It's just a little harder to think you're Han Solo or Aragon when you know you don't quite measure up.
