I was thinking of combining Spellthief with wizard or sorceror to enter a combination of Unseen seer and spellwarp sniper and/or Arcane trickster.

Aside from the master spellthief feat, what would be the best way to go about this?
The idea is to wind up with 9thlevel spells, a good hide/move silently.

As to the race, I haven't decided yet but its bonus points if it involves warforged.

Unseen seer gives you the prerequisites for Arcane Trickster. You don't have to take any classes that make you lose wizard casting.

The hard part is qualifying for the seer. Its got some pretty hefty skill requirements.
I suppose human would make the best choice I suppose. Adding in able learner will make it a lot easier.

A simple build would be something like:

Spelltheif1/Wiz4/USS10/AT5

or

Spellthief1/Wiz5/USS9/AT5 for Spontaneous Divination

or

Spellthief1/Wiz4/USS5/AT10

or

Spellthief1/Wiz3/MS2/USS10/AM4

or just about any other combo of those classes. You could even work in some Abjurant Champion for some extra combat ability, or Sacred Exorcist with a sorc base to gain access to Turn Undead to fuel Divine Feats.

Post a build or something, and then let the community tear it apart, rebuild it again, and keep hammering until you are happy with the shimmer and shine of the final product. That's what I do, and I'm seldom disappointed by the feedback.

I've made a little writeup and this is what I've come out as an initial attempt:

Spellthief 1/Wizard 3/spellthief+1/Unseen seer 5/Spellwarp sniper 5/Arcane Trickster 5.
Unseen seer and spellwarp sniper can be advanced alternating levels after I've taken at least 2 levels in unseen seer.

As for the feats:

1: Able learner, Darkstalker
3: Point Blank Shot
6: Master spellthief
9: Open
12: Quicken Spell
15: Open
18: Open

So far human or changeling is the only way to enter unseen seer at level 6. Otherwise I just can't seem to fit the skill points.

Point blank shot isn't terribly great. Sniper's Shot is a first level wizard spell, so you should be staying further away then 30' if at all possible.

Also, 2 levels of spellthief is too much, you don't want to lose any more caster levels than necessary. Just use a race that has favored class "wizard" or "any". And why "alternating levels"? PrC's don't have multiclassing penalties.

Spellwarp Sniper works better with Sorceror than it does with wizard. Unless you specifically want to be a blaster (and not a real batman/god wizard with sneak attack and skills for extras), I'd stay away.

Arcane trickster is also relatively weak, IMO. Called Sneak Attack is next to useless. If a Wizard can't arrange for sneak attacks to get off, he's not competent enough to be a wizard. Ranged Legedermain is nice, but you don't get enough uses of it to make it worthwhile.

Spellthief1/Wizard5/Unseen Seer5/Divine Oracle4/X 5

would be my suggestion. Use the "Hunter's Eye" spell for your sneak attack. There are better things to get for class features.
