Normally, the Entry Requirements for AC are easily met through multiclassing or via feats that grant weapons profs such as the debatable Otherworldly or the other feat that I can't remember at the time. However, two of those ways are campaign-specific, and racially restricted (at least Otherworldly is). But what if there was another way? What if there was a cheap, easy way to enter the class? There is. Take a look at the Aptitude quality. Yes, that Aptitude quality. Now look at the feat Martial Weapon Proficiency. Are you thinking what I am? MWP with your primary weapon, and always carry at least two other weapons, both of which have the Aptitude quality, then get the +5 BAB through any means that still gets you full Wizard casting. Wiz 10 works just fine, especially when you use the Domain Granted Power or Spontaneous Divinations variants. Now, this is debatable. But by RAW, it works. And at the low cost of your Scribe Scroll feat, you won't even miss a damn thing for it. |

| #4ninjarabbitApr 06, 2008 12:25:27 | Personally I like wizard5/eldritchknight2/AC5/EK8 with militia or otherworldly getting you martial weapons, 17 BAB and 19 CL and you're epic ready. |
| #5davethemagicweaselApr 06, 2008 12:33:00 | Elf gets you in, which seems easier. But personally, I wouldn't want to get into Abjurant Champion if I was losing 5 BAB. Extra AC is nice, but for a straight caster there are better options. And ones that won't cost 2 crappy feats (MWP and Combat Casting). |
| #6ninjarabbitApr 06, 2008 12:45:25 | Another option is battlesorcerer7/abjurantchampion5/battlesorcerer8, 16 BAB, 20 CL, and only clean and easy |
| #7ikerenApr 06, 2008 14:16:12 | I like Wizard 5 (fractional saves/BAB)/Incantatrix 10/Abjurant Champion 5. Abjurant champion isn't used to make the build gish like, but quickened dispel magic, buffs, and increased HD make it a decent choice, even against other filler PrC's (Archmage, Mage of the Arcane Order, Fatespinner, but probably not Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil). And being an elf just makes it so simple and easy. |

Yeah, I've thought Abj. Champ would make a nice addition to a War Weaver build. The auotquickening and boosting of some buffs would be synergistic with a class focused on quickly buffing their entire party. I made a build stub for it a while back in some thread or another. |

Wiz 5 / War Weaver 5 / Spellguard of Silverymoon 5 / Abjurant Champion 5 is very decent. Legacy Champ 5 at the end is better if allowed to advance the War Weaver tho. |
