Is it possible to make a build that gets access to every spell? Our GM has ruled out Archivists as being non-theme, so that easy shot for divine spells is out. It's a gestalt game though, which makes things a little easier. Wizard/Cleric gets a bunch, but there's bard, assassin, and other spells you're missing out on. My goal is to build the 'accumulator of spell-knowledge' which is of course not really optimized per-se but it's a goal that requires as much diligence as optimization.

If you can mix settings and are using gestalt this will work.

Artificer 20//Focused Specialist Wizard 20

  • Artificer is Eberron, they can craft items with any spell in the game from any spell list.
  • In Lost Empires of Faerun their is a feat called channel spell. With this feat you can use a wand, stave, or staff and sacrifice a spell whose level is at least 1 level higher to use the item without using a charge.
  • Earth Spell (requires Earth Sense and Heighten Spell) treats any spell heighten as one level higher when you stand on unworked earth.

Its possible, as long as you're willing to play psionics.

Erudite 20. Erudites have the handy ability to learn any power they come across. Add in the feat Convert Spell to Power( http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070629a ) and you can now learn any arcane spell.

The issue now is to convince your DM that an arcane version of every divine spell exists. This can be seen by looking at the numerous arcane->divine abilities out there(Spell versitility from geomancer, for example). The argument is that since that it exists in that case as an arcane spell, it follows that you can learn these versions of the spells.

The issue with that build, however, is that you're dependant on your GM giving you access to the specific spells - he can just as simply say you never encounter a geomancer to pull spells out of his head from.

I pulled this info from an older thread(http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1128156) you may find some other useful info there.

How does this sound? A Warlock(needs to be lvl 12 I know) can make any item without the spell. So, you take warlock up one side, with it's own goodness and a spontaneous caster(they get more feats!) up the other.

Then you start making a bunch of 1 charge wands and such, and using your spontaneous caster side to fuel them. Sure it's not the ultimate powerhouse, but you can now cast any spell in the game.
