Advice on my Nightmare Spinner?

Hello, I'm a new poster so please be gentle.

I am going to be in a 3.5 campaign, starting at level 10, with some friends of mine. I've played a sorcerer from 1 to 4 before, so I'm not new to D&D, but I am new to creating a character up to level 10 from scratch and I've never been that high before so I'd like advice on my character.

Things you should know:
1) The DM I'll be with doesn't like using many undead/plant monsters. Usually she throws humanoids at us and they have brains. So, Nightmare Spinner was logical.
2) She and I have discussed the 3.0 fearsome doublet and she has approved it for her 3.5 campaign anyway. My party has already been a victim of the doublet, so therefore won't be "fear"ed in the future.
3) I was allowed two spellbooks, and any number of spells that "fit" inside of them which are my level. I can't even fill one with spells I like.
4) I eventually want to dip into shadowcraft mage, but for how many levels is debatable.
5) I need a 9th level feat
6) The DM is into Swashbuckling Adventures, and views Intuitive as a flaw (She'll make it so), so I get Unarmed Defense Proficiency as a feat.
7) I don't want a familiar, so if anybody suggests any alternative options in D20 books it'd be helpful.

Here's my character sheet:

If anything is confusing or needs explaining I'll do my best to clarify.
Thanks in advance!

Well, off the top of my head, I'd suggest the following:
  • Be a gnome
  • Go wizard not sorcerer
  • Specialize in Illusions (give up Evocation and either Conjuration or Enchantment)
  • For the build go Wizard3/Master Specialist2/Nightmare Spinner5
  • Use the Chains of Disbelief variant from Unearthed Arcana to ditch your familiar
  • Pump your DCs as high as possible with High Int, spell focus (illusion), etc
  • Consider taking levels in the dread witch PrC from Heoroes of Horror, it has really really nice synergy

Okay.
I did go gnome wizard (My int is my high stat) specializing in illusions, but I gave up trans and abj, not conj, evoc or ench. (all this is on the character sheet...)
I thought having conj would allow me to cast real summons which would confuse enemies even more if done in between illusions.

I don't remember seeing master specialist, nor chains of disbelief, so I'll look at those.
I considered spell focus a rather weak feat as it only gives me +1 DC, is it really worth it? I guess I do have a feat to burn...

Dread witch has abilities which work if you're feared, NmS can't be feared... it does lose some synergy there. I was thinking after NmS I'll go shadowcraft mage for at least 1 level while I decide what else I can do.

I do appreciate the feedback. Once I check out master specialist and chains of disbelief I'll post if I'll go those routes. :-)

You gave up Transmutation? You don't want Fly or what? No Dispel Magic nor Resist Energy, either?

Give up Evocation and Enchantment, I say.

Spell Focus... In my opinion, whatever you can do to buff your spell's DC is worth it... After all, what's the use of an arcane spellcaster whose spells fail more than work...

The Dread Witch has to be exposed to a condition that would make it shaken or frightened, not necessarilly be affected by it... So, even while the NmS is immune to fear, if something "tried" to fear it, it would still benefit from the Absorb Fear ability...
