I am saddened that Warlocks cannot take the Humanoid Shape Invocation. Are there any items out there that let you Alter Self? Preferably all day long, but a couple times per day will work as well.

You can make your own item, provided the party Wizard (or similar) cooperates.
Potion of Alter Self
Ring of Alter Self
Wand of Alter Self
It's all in the custom magic items table and text. That'll work.

If you can handle "poly"-morph being spelled "meta"-morph,
and that it's the exact same spell/power, then:

... works.
4 * 7 * 2000 = 56000 so the extra cost is the extra line of text (?!)

Fleshshifter armor (Book of Vile Darkness) is +1 leather armor that lets you use alter self at will. Maiden's hands (Dragon 300) and doppelganger armor (Dragon 291) give you limited alter self abilities.

UMD and a wand is your best bet, unless you go with a custom item. You can't put it in a potion, as it is a personal range spell.

Of course the Hat of Disguise can give you Disguise Self all day, but that has no real combat advantages (except possibly tactical ones).

Soo ... when I drank the "potion" I just thought I'd Alter Self'd myself ??

D&D is tricky.

Would a ring of chameleon power from the DMG work?

Maybe that PGtF Runepriest, if combined with Archivist (for Slayer of Domiel Alter Self) can make a rune of the thing that can be used by pretty much anyone?

Or put Alter Self into a Drow Insignia item?
