| #1bill_bisco_average_adventurerMay 18, 2008 12:22:57 | Even if the CharOp boards are going to disappear by being combined into another board, I still think that it's possible to retain our "CharOpiness" on the Wotc boards. We would need to only make threads with a [CharOp] tag in the title like [CharOp] 4e Fighter Tricks, Combos, and builds [CharOp] Multiclassing Handbook [CharOp] Ritual Optimization etc. If possible I would encourage people to adopt a strategy similar to what I'm suggesting rather than move unseen off to other boards. Although Wotc doesn't post here often, it's obvious that they pay attention to this board. I think the advantage of a [CharOp] tag is that it's a clear sign to other people that this thread is for discussing Character Optimization not character development and that we're not interested if you don't believe in optimizing. What do you all think? |

They frequent many of the fan-built boards (just look at enworld.org for an example) and G0 has stated he believes his role is to act as a community manager/liasion for the whole D&D/WotC community whether hosted by WotC or not. Having a dedicated space for a community of specialists is what really makes this area work best. If that dedicated space is somewhere else, so be it. |
