Telf. Shadowlord from Unapproachable East. 6 level prestige class available after level 7, nets you a Death Attack and a number of other useful abilities. Only requires non-good as far as alignment goes.

unless you give us more, thats all we can give you.

Wizard 20 is a very good assassin too.

Swordsage does it nicely, by combining Assassin's Stance and Shadow Garrote, for example.

Check into the prestige class Justice of Weald and Woe (Champions of Ruin). No alignment restrictions, poison use, death attack, sneak attack, hide in plain sight, decent sniping/archery based spells. However it is limited to Longbows/Shortbows for weapon choices because of other class abilities.

It depends on how you want to do it. "Assassin" is a broad concept - imo defined by being able to kill an enemy, ideally a well-protected one, without being detected. IMO a rogue 20 is a very passable assassin - especially if you get an enemy when they are helpless, i.e. sleeping. Coup de Grace has a very challenging fortitude save, especially when you sneak attack with it. A more combat-oriented character can use Nightsong Enforcer or another PrC that boosts your combat prowess. Many other classes, from the warlock to the ranger, can act as competent assassins, although IMO the druid is all but unmatched (hello, wildshape and natural spell, let's play "natural causes").

BTW, Teflammar shadowlord is quite good even though it does not advance SA, but works best with a base class or combo that does - such as a swordsage w. assassin stance, rogue or psychic rogue (for the extra shadow jump ability). Some of its spells are insanely good for that level.

If you want the death attack, there's a few other classes that offer it. Black flame zealot is a divine casting sneaky type that offers death attack without having to be evil. There's also strifeleader in Faiths and Pantheons. Cyric is CE, but you can be CN and worship him. Both require non-good.

Teflon Shadowlord is the appear from nothing assassin type. Combine it with swordsage or ranger/rogue/horizon walker. Wizard/Rogue/Unseen Seer/Arcane Trickster works for this as well.

Also, anything is better than an assassin at being an assassin. An interesting note: assassins have to sing in order to cast spells, they cast as bards do. There's nothing stealthy about someone singing as they sneak up on you. Though, I've decided they do a black metal SHRIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEK when they do. At least it's creepy that way.

Answer the following questions, and you should get better responses...

1. Why do you want to kill people for a living as a non-evil character? (flavor you're looking for)
2. How do you want to kill people? (natural causes, sniper, poison, magic, shiv, et cetera)
3. What level do you want to start doing so?
4. Do you prefer sneaky sneaky, or liar liar?
5. Do you want spellcasting, or do you want to stay away from it?

1. She kills enemy’s of the state to overt wars and save lives.

2. Any way that presents itself ,

3. Any time after level 7

4. sneaky sneaky for being undetected is the best form of armour.

5. if it gets me to the target or help in killing magic is an option, to be used as a last resort

thanks for our help I had a word with my DM and he is allowing The Avenger class thank agen

You might also want to consider 2 levels of fighter for extra feats. Especially if you start out Rogue 7/Avenger 10....you'll have some levels left over. What do your feats look like right now?

Okay, first, see if your DM will houserule that you can take Favored Enemy (Humanoid-type most commonly you'll need to be hunting) without being evil. I always thought that limitation was silly (seeing as how there's plenty of 'Good' reasons why you may 'hunt' your own kind) and I don't know a DM that's ever not allowed it if it fit a character.

If you're going for versatility, spellcasting is going to get you more than almost any other option.

You could go Gish, adding Wiz 4, Spellsword 1, Abjurant Champion 2, Daggerspell Mage 10. That'll get you 8th level spells (Superiour Invis + Mind Blank + Nondetection = noone ever seeing you), casting in most light armor, and a BAB in the 14 range, plus all the nifty DSM abilities and more sneak attack. With practiced spellcaster and Arcane Disciple (War or Pride), you could have a 20 BAB and potentially 8 or nine attacks a round with daggers. You'll mostly be fighting up close and personal with this build, though.

You could instead go Wildshape Ranger (if your DM allows this), or go druid, taking Master of Many forms and using your shapechanging abilities to get in and out undetected. If you can get a way to cast (or have cast) Nystul's Magic Aura and Nondetection, you're going to be hard to notice even with magic.

Another option is to go sniper, with peerless archer or one of the other sniper style PrC's but I find that in practice these rarely work.

One word of caution, though, if you aren't playing a solo game, Assassin style characters can end up being a big hassle for not a lot of reward. By necessity, much of what that style of character does must be done alone, meaning you'll be taking time out of your groups play time to resolve things while everyone else's characters sit at the bar doing nothing (or, all of you split up and it takes 4 or 5x as long for each mission). Be sure to talk about it with the DM and your group before setting yourself on this course, otherwise you could get some resentment from the other players, or you could end up never doing any of these cool things because the DM doesn't want to 'waste' time running missions JUST for you and you could end up resenting them.

It no longer applies in 3.5 anyway. A ranger can choose any favourite enemy, regardless of his alignment.

Wow, crap, I never noticed that before. But, then, I haven't played a ranger since 3.0. Thank you for the correction.

this is my personal favorite:
spellthief 1/wizard 4/unseenseer 10
i don't really like playing after 15 so that works out for me
You get skills, which you'll need. Because you stack intellegence, you'll likely have more than the party rogue. Your skill list is more extensive. You get some sneak attack, you have perfect caster level and perfect spell progression-1. You have a respectable BAB, much moreso if you use fractional BAB. I don't think you can beat it, honestly.
Don't forget to take master spellthief
