Jul 03, 2009 0:04:57 I have an idea and I need some help for it to come to pass better then it does in my head at the moment..

The Idea uses a Varoot (Fiend Folio Pg 130)

The Varoot has an LA of +3 and is an outsider. At approx 12th level you will have the coin available to undertake a Ritual (from Savage Species) to give you a Evil Subtype.

Wu Jen 8/ Mindbender 1/ MOTUH 5/ Fiend of Possession 6

I really wanted to get into the MOTUH/FOP levels earlier but this may need to go to 20 levels.

The premise of the build is to possess your BSF team-mate, give him added benefit but also be able to attack as a MOTUH.

Can anybody think of a way to do this quicker/earlier/better?

Just 1, but LA+3 for just outsider is ~~.

I like Doc's idea of Polymorph any Object from the linked thread.

If your DM doesn't like that PaO thingy,
the thread mentions the otherworldly feat (PGtF) - outsider without any LA. Then you can get your alignment ritual.

I am not aware of any divine class / domain that grants telekinesis, if there would be any way adding TK to the clerics spell list, divine disciple becomes an outsider with alignment subtype at 5th level.
I can only think of some archivist cheese, but PaO would be a better option.

I nearly got ninja'd^^

A Varoot has 1 HD (which I'm not sure means you have to take 1 Outsider level? but my GM has said not to) and +3LA. The +3 comes from it's abilities which are:

+4 Dex, +2 Con, +4 Wis, +6 Cha
+3 natural armour
Bonus Feats (Shard dagger, shard longsword - +2 Wounding weapons)
Cold resistance 5
electricity resistance 5
fire resistance 5
mirror jump (which is basically like a Shadow Walk)
outsider traits
reflective spell resistance 12+HD (targeted spells reflect back on caster)
Immune to Gaze Attacks
Spell-like abilites: Change Self 3/day, Mirror Image 1/day

But they do have sonic vulnerability +50%

Just 1, but LA+3 for just outsider is ~~.

Jul 05, 2009 21:37:04 :: hums intently :: May I commend to you the bladeling? If you can swing the unupdated variation, you are home free. Alternatively, if you are dead set on the varoot, my suggestion is to insure your GM allows LA buy off. Or you'll be boned.

Where can I find the updated Bladeling please?

So your first level replaces the outsider HD.
You are still an outsider.

You don't actually need Bladeling-- you turn into an outsider, so you could get into Fiend of Possession with any race. I don't know how early it is either-- the earliest you can get into the class is 8th level, so you'll be 12th by the time you become an outsider.
