| #1bloodofgodsApr 06, 2008 17:59:08 | Is there anything in any of the rules that says a Druid can't use a shield that has the animated property and still gain its benefits while in wildshape form? Your not technically wearing it, thus it does not meld into your body, and it doesn't seem that there is any error in this logic... Can anyone point me in the direction or rules that disallow this from happening, or the rules that allow this to happen? |

THat is totally worth it |

Has there been an update or errata that has changed this? |
| #6bloodofgodsApr 07, 2008 2:21:37 | Technically, it would be a +3 bonus (+1 Animated Heavy Wooden Shield). Lol I know, a +3 shield is 9k.... wilding clasps are 4k.... So 13k for a shield that adds its base armor class plus 1 enhancement, thus a PLUS 1 SHIELD |

| #8aftercrescentApr 07, 2008 2:26:06 | MIC p. 190. Wilding clasp will not stop a druid from losing his powers if attached to a metal shield. |
| #9neboApr 07, 2008 2:29:19 | An animated shield strikes me as one of those items for which it is actually practical to just don after you wildshape. |
| #10bloodofgodsApr 07, 2008 2:29:23 | MIC p. 190. Wilding clasp will not stop a druid from losing his powers if attached to a metal shield. So according to Raw A druid can use an animated shield in animal form with no penalty and this is legal? |
| #11ieniemienieApr 07, 2008 2:36:49 | Not if its made from metal, but a Dragonhide Animated +1 shield with a wilding clasp, Yes |
| #12aftercrescentApr 07, 2008 2:36:50 | As long as it is not metal, yes. If it is metal she loses wildshaping while wielding the shield and for 24 hours after. Edit: Ninja'd |
| #13bloodofgodsApr 07, 2008 19:38:18 | Not if its made from metal, but a Dragonhide Animated +1 shield with a wilding clasp, Yes Here's the problem with that assumptions, you DO NOT WEAR SHIELDS, you wield shields. Thus the Wilding clasps do not work with them and boom, the entire idea is shot to hell.. Now, can a druid just use an animated shield while in wildshape form without using a wilding clasps, and if not, where do you get this rule? |
