21st level. (not necessarily a barbarian)

I need 7th level arcane spells, with Antimagic Field and Bite of the Werebear, and Wraithstrike as spells known. 21st level feat will be Permanent Emanation (Antimagic Field). 1 Level of Archmage for Mastery of Shaping to make your AMF not include your space. I'd also like as high a base attack as possible, and 8th level and higher spells would be nice but are not needed for the concept. Premise is simple, buff up, go kill. You're immune to magic, basically, and your melee targets don't get any magic bonuses.

If a Divine casting build can also get those spells, that would be better, considering the abuseability of a high wisdom score.

Antimagic Field is an 8th level cleric spell. Wraithstrike can be gotten via the Spell domain's Anyspell. Bite of the Werebear could be duplicated with Miracle, I think. Getting into Archmage as a divine caster will be more difficult. :P

Cheater of Mystra. You don't even need the archmage levels

oh? hmm, i'll check it out.

-checked it, I don't see how dweomerkeeper lets you exclude 5' spaces from your area of effect spells. BUT, its a good way to get myself a divine caster able to do this. The trick to getting archmage is getting the ability to cast a 7th level arcane spell. anyone know how to do that as mostly divine caster levels?

Archmage no longer works like that. As per the Rules Compendium, AMF doesn't block LOE, so you can be affected by spells just fine if it doesn't affect your square.

Cheater of Mystra works, but is quite abusive.

Updated build:

Changeling Sorcerer 6 / Recaster 5 / Fighter 1 / Abjurant Champion 5 / Spellsword 1 / Eldritch Knight 3

Base Attack is only 14 with +1 epic bonus. I really really want 16 for this build pre epic. Anyone got any suggestions? (5th level Recaster essentially gives mastery of shaping)

I suppose I could go Human Sorcerer 6 / Fighter 1 / Spellsword 1 / Abjurant Champion 5 / Eldritch Knight 7 / Archmage 1. This would give 17 base attack pre epic with the required spells. It just lacks flavor and screams gish.

CantripN: I don't use the Rules Compendium, neither does anyone else I know IRL (30+ dnd players). We all agree that there are a lot of errors and contradictions in it, as well as unnecessary changes to things, for instance the change you cited. AMF works just fine. All the Rules Compendium does is take away Rule 0 for a lot of things.

Why don't you get runescarred berserker? They don't get that much magic, but they're damned decent barbarians and can get AMF as a runescar.

just realized permanent emanation requires 25 ranks of spellcraft, so I need to get a bonus feat right at 22nd level. I'm thinking this updated build:

Half-Elf Sorcerer 6 / Fighter 1 / Spellsword 1 / Abjurant Champ 5 / Eldritch Knight 7 / Archmage 1 / Half-Elf Paragon 1

Would Arcane Disciple(War) and levels in Incantrix solve the BAB problem? Persistent Divine Power: Mitigating the need for full BAB classes since Complete Arcane.

You don't even need Arcane Disciple; you can pick up DP with one of your recaster 'learn any spell on any list lol' abilities.

And that way you can cast it as often as you like per day, so persisting it becomes a convenience rather than a bare necessity.

updated build idea, thanx skydragon

Half-Elf Battle Sorcerer (pick up Battle Axe) 6 / Incantatrix 9 / Abjurant Champion 5 / Archmage 1 / Half-Elf Paragon 1

Feats: 1st- Iron Will (flaw), 1st- Combat Casting (flaw), 1st- Skill Focus (Spellcraft), 3rd- Spell Focus (transmutation), 6th- Arcane Disciple (War), 7th- Extend Spell (incantatrix bonus), 9th- Rapid Metamagic, 10th- Quicken Spell (incantatrix bonus), 12th- Spell Focus (conjuration), 13th- Persistent Spell (incantatrix bonus), 15th- Power Attack, 18th- Leap Attack, 21st- Arcane Strike, 22nd- Permanent Emanation (AMF) (H/E paragon bonus)

Give up Enchantment for Incantatrix, as it is nigh useless to this build.
So far, this build gets instant metamagic 2/day, picking bite of the werebear and divine power as the 24 hour persistent spells; and casting a regular persistent wraithstrike.

Gonna use Strong Arm Bracers and a Large +1 Battle Axe with two hands, gonna twink it out with +9 worth of special abilities and just cast Extended GMW and Extended Dolorous Blow on it.

Now that I think about it, this character wouldn't work too well with others... heh

Oh god don't use Battle Sorcerer. Why in the world would you even consider it for an epic build?

How are you excluding yourself from the AMF with the builds you listed? What happened to Archmage? I think there is a feat that lets you do this, also (Extraordinary Spell Aim, or something).

Archmage is still in there, mastery of shaping is the awesome.
Why Battle Sorc? hmm. Good question. Going with Stalwart Sorc instead, and picking Great Falchion for my weapon/focus. Only lose out on 3 hitpoints.

Since no one answered your question - Initiate of Mystra, the feat from PGtF lets your spells function even in an antimagic field. So enlarge that antimagic field, permanent emanation it, and tenacious magic wraithstrike and divine power. Those are 3 epic feats. You use DMM persist to persist wraith and dp every day. You get wraithstrike via anyspell, which initiate of mystra gives you. Grab powerattack by the way. Everything dies.

Yes, that's mad cheese. But if you want to make a fighter using a caster class, cleric does it much better (and has better HD) than a wizard, IMO.

Remember that if you attack a creature who is inside an AMF while you are outside of one, you don't get any magical benefits from your weapon(FAQ p.44). It specifically states that both the attacker and target must be outside the AMF for weapon magical effects to apply.

thanx vecna, that changes the concept then. I guess I can save money on my weapon then. Gonna go with Great Falchion (with stalwart sorc instead of battle sorc) instead of Battleaxe.

aftercrescent: this character is abusing magic, I don't want the roleplaying restrictions required by being a cleric of mystra and taking the initiate feat but thanx
