| #1agarwaenimmortalApr 07, 2008 14:20:24 | Greetings! While (re)reading FRCS, I noticed the spell Moon Blade, and it came to me, this question: Since this spell invokes a blade of energy to your hand, and you can even use your "blade" feats to it, does this mean that, instead of using Arcane Channeling to deliver your touch spells with a melee atack with, say, you longsword, you can channel them through the "sword" you get with this spell? For example, you buy a ring of the moon blade (27,000 GP, I suppose), use it to get a immaterial blade during combat, and then you use it to deliver a shocking grasp? Thanks! |

Thanks! That's just about what I thought... :D I think this brings something useful... I mean, imagine performing a full-attack, wielding a moonblade, so that you attack as a touch attack, and dealing great damage with each attack... I like it! :D |

Even if I have to take on the Arcane Disciple feat, I'll make the sacrifice... :D |

Umm, heh, if it does touch attacks, who cares about proficiency? Even so, you can make an item that actually casts the spell. |

My game rules are a bit on the forgotten side... If I make, say, some gloves of the moon blade... would I be the caster of the spell? What other items could you make that actually cast the spell? I sent a message to Wizards asking about the proficieny bit... If you use, say, a fighter, he's proficient with swords, therefore he's also profiencient with the beam... At least, that's what I got from Wizards Customer Support (or wathever the name is). |
