Quick question that I felt like I knew before, but now I can't find it...

Is there a feat/ability/spell that lets me apply my metamagic feats to a wand and will not use extra charges...

I am familiar with the Artificer lv 3 spell Metamagic Item, but am under the impression that it only works for the first spell cast from the wand. That way, I can only make a few persistent spells.

I am thinking that it might just be cheaper for me to produce scrolls and use my amazing UMD check combined with the 11th level metamagic spell completion feat (although right now I'm only lv 6, just preparing ahead of time)

Could someone please clarify for me, or give some kind of advice on a different path, right now I have the following feats selected... Skill Focus(UMD), Herioc Spirit, Extend Spell, Legendary Artisan.

Metamagic spell trigger, feat, CM p 45, but it does use extra charges

Also, metamagic item infusion lasts for rounds/level.
You temporarily apply a metamagic feat you know to a single spell contained within a spell trigger item.
You were probably confused by reference to "single spell". This does not mean that you can use it once - rather it refers to staffs that can contain multiple spells. Only one is affected by the infusion.

Seconded, you can use the metamagic on the device for the full duration of the infusion.  "single spell" applies to multispell devices like Staves...you can pick only one of the possible spells to boost.
