| #1trednisFeb 14, 2009 13:30:31 | For flavor reasons I am trying to make a build that combines swiftblade (uses haste for speed based abilities) and Azurin (human-like race that ages and matures faster than normal). I am looking for a melee gish build primarily. 8th and 9th lv spell casting would be nice, but there would be other full casters in the group. stats: 4d6 drop the lowest, generate 3 sets of stats, pick one. (assume one 18, or 2 16's and the 13 dex required for midnight dodge) starting lv 5 going to 20. books allowed: all except campaign specific (even then I might be able to get it), includes Dragon magazine and web enhancements. 2 flaws allowed. no xp penalties for multiclassing. I was thinking CG wizard 5/ soulborn 1/swiftblade 9/ X. It might be better to break out of swiftblade after 6 or take levels in totemist instead of soulborn for soulmelds that give more attacks. thanks. |

If your DM waives the 3rd level slot requirement for Haste (ie, just saying that its Haste is good enough as long as its the only spell of that level you cast), then you can just do Trapsmith 1 / Swiftblade 10 instead and have 4 free levels to play with. Totemist, imo, isn't as reliably good for this sort of build, as you won't always be able to get your full attack going to get multiple secondary natural attacks... but its a subtle difference, and Totemist is still a decent lead-in. |
