Here's a campaign idea my friend and I have been toying with.

The moon is falling, go deal with it.

Thusly involving creating means to get to the moon and then destroy it, stop it, or send it back to proper orbit.

Perhaps in theory just have a demon in the moon to defeat or something, but destruction is so much more tasty.

Discuss

I like the idea of lichifying the group and flying magically to the moon.
Possibly medieval spaceship works too, while capturing an air elemental to let you breath and somehow magically or explosively propelling it.

Definitions of immovable pending, but wall of walls of force could work.

Have a Hulking Hurler throw the moon back in place.

Greater teleport is the simplest way to get to the moon. A necklace of adaptation deals with the lack of air nicely. A ring of sustenance means you can stay indefinitely.

With enough Immovable Rods they could stop it as well. Heck, they could turn it into a floating city that way.

Stronghold Builder's Guide lets you build airtight teleporting strongholds. Fly to the moon in your Star Destroyer.

now again pending definitions of immovable, the wall of force or immovable rod idea brings interesting implications to the table

after all, the planet rotates and orbits a celestial entity pending your fantasy world

unless magic makes the universe orbits around the planet

thusly an unmoving object should be moving with respect to a person on the surface

if then u take it as unmoving with respect to the planet then 6 permanent walls of force could keep the moon in place forever

hmmm, i wonder if they made an errata for that Wink

Get a hulking hurler throw it back. Then:

Persist Greater Globe of Invulnerability, Ring of sustenance, Bottle of air, Greater Teleport on the moon. Wish for gravity. Then Control Weather. After that you start casting Poison and Contagion. Congratulations, you have microorganisms. Watch ém evolve.

WHERE'S YOUR GOD NOW?

I wonder if there are any settings made for the moon

what creatures would live on the moon?

a bunch of devils and archons that looked up and cast teleport, wait do they need air? hmm
maybe you just find a pile of their corpses from when they tried this

would there just be a whole bunch of earth elementals on the moon?

wait, what if the moon is just one big earth elemental!

wait further still! what if earth were just an orgy of giant earth, water, air, and fire elementals!

Time to make an elemental god, the Planet Maker

maybe the plane of fire is just a teleport into the sun

o yeah, please do use the moon idea

just post again how it goes Wink

I rather like the idea of throwing the party at coming up with a way to go to the moon
then on the moon questing around with stray earth elementals and assorted wanderers that go up there to maybe find a way to commune with the giant elemental that is the moon

I suppose how they get there mostly depends on what level we're talking about

Bu-bu-bu-bumping spree

Anywho, at last I have found the perfect vehicle for this.

A siege crab MM3.

for a mere 200k gold, you too can sit in an airtight crab tank

just cast fly on it and whoooooooosh!

suppose one still needs an air source for such a long journey, but bam
