Hey everyone,

My DM requested me to make an encounter that isnt the BBEG but is still going to be flavorful and memorable. He didnt really didnt give me much as far as frame work except for he wants it to be a melee fighter, that can stand alone, CR 12, and chaotic. REALLY REALLY CHAOTIC.

I figured you can't get much more chaotic than a Barbarian, or a War Hulk, or a Frenzied Berserker.

Then I figured you could get more chaotic if you mixed them all together.

So far I have:
Example 1
Barb5/Fighter1/WarHulk2/FB2
Half-Ogre
Str 28* Con 18 Dex 12 Cha 9 Int 9 Wis 10
1.Barbarian Destructive Rage
2.Barbarian
3.Barbarian Cleave
4.Barbarian
5.Barbarian
6.Fighter Power Attack, Intimidating Rage
7.WarHulk
8.WarHulk
9.FB Exotic Weapon Pro:Spiked Chain
10.FB

Str 28 (18 base +6racial +4 enhancement)

To be honest I hate putting chargers as monster against players. They tend to either one shot a PC with virtually no mean of escape (sorry your init sucked) or get destroyed really fast if they loose it. As this build could pretty much only be a charger, I'd keep away from this.

Also at CR 12 a single NPC will get anihlated in less than a round if the players know what they are doing. It won't last for sure.

For super Chaos factor, I'd say a spellcaster would have done great. Maybe a Planar Shepherd bound to the Limbo could do the job. It still a very decent melee combattant (hey it's a druid !) and you can't get more Chaotic than a crazy CN druid Gotta love wild magic

Well this is supposed to be a one time encounter, and they are gonna be in a semismall dungeon room when they meet.

A raging, frenzied, great swinging, cleaving halfogre could hit everyone in the party atleast once a round. It would be challenging enough to get the party sweating, but probably wont end up killing anyone.

...well maybe the bard might die, but whatever...

We don't use Eberron of Fareun(sp?) campaign setting books.
Also, it is supposed to be a melee kind of character...

Ummm...what about a druid/momf?

I'd suggest using the unearthed arcana barbarian variant which gives improved trip at level 2. That works nicely with the spiked chain half-ogre, and can actually lower the deadliness of the fight. You trip everybody, keep them down, and beat on them a litle at a time.
