| #1zaxterJun 25, 2009 23:06:52 | I'm making a character for an upcoming level 4 campaign, in which all players are playing gestalt characters, but one side has to be pure bard. I was hoping to revive an old character of mine who only really works well in gestalt -- a bard//cleric/divine prankster named Chuckles the Clown. I'm turning to CO for a little help, since I'm running into a bit of indecision. Relevant info: *Level 4 *40 point buy *Core + Eberron books allowed, most others allowed on request *Other party members are bard//rogue, bard//wilder, and bard//paladin of slaughter *The campaign will be almost entirely social manipulation and the like -- combat will only occur if we need to kill a wild animal for food or something. What I need help with: *What's a good stat distribution? I have enough points to put 18 in both wis and cha, but that leaves me with enough for rather little else -- not exactly what I'm looking for. If I take 2 points out of one of them, I can boost my int and dex, which will probably help with skill points and some checks. Question is, which stat should take the hit? Would it be better to focus on wis or cha? *What are some good cleric and bard spells to know at this level? I'd like to keep with the clown theme at least a little (I'm taking Hideous Laughter). *Based on the party composition, what skills would be good to focus on? I'm taking Bluff, Sleight of Hand, and Perform (Comedy) for future entry into Divine Prankster -- what else is good? I realize some of this may be dependent on stat distribution. |
