Well, I have a necro cleric with two questionable feats from Libris Mortis...

Profane Lifeleech: Allows you to use up 2 rebukes to deal 1d6 dmg to all living creatures (to no less than 0 however) and then you heal equal to that amount...

AND...

Quicken Turning: Which allows me to use my rebukes as a free action rather then a standard one.

Are these any good or should I use something else?
Any suggestions welcomed. :D

No, they are both bad. Generally, turning is something you set up to do, and being able to quicken it isn't much of an advantage. You should consider finding ways to increase your effective rebuking level though, since that'll increase the power of undead you command. There are a couple things in Libris Mortis that do this. There are also a number of items that increase your turning level, but check with your DM to see if they'll work transparently with rebuking, since they don't explicitely state that they do. Phylactery of Undead Turning from the DMG is one. You could have one custom made called the Phylactery of Undead Control which is attuned to negative energy rahter than positive, but this would be a custom item, so check with your DM.

Profane Lifeleach is just plain bad. Standard action to do 1d6 damage, even to multiple creatures, is just terribad. If it scaled with the damage and the healing, maybe it might be worth it, but generally, its gonna be better to just kill your enemies and then worry about healin up.

Okay...so what would you suggest as replacement feats?

The only reason I thought Profane Lifeleech might be okay would be in case I don't have loads of undead to rebuke...but then again I wouldn't be a very good necro without undead I guess. :P

But yeah, 1d6 that doesn't scale was kind of a put off.

Necro-oriented?

DMM (Fell Animate) & Fell Animate

Get around throwing $$ away on Animate Undead. You are planning to throw them away anyway.

Need more information on the character to give really optimized suggestions...I just hate paying for Zombies I want to throw away before the end of the dungeon anyawy.

What was it you wanted to know about exactly?

Get Corpsecrafter and perhaps Destructive Retribution if you intend to animate undead.

I agree with DMM (Fell Animate).

Sources.

What role the cleric is going to play besides 'using undead'.

Tank basically. I've got him in fullplate with a greatsword.

If you have the Cha for it...

Frightful Presence [Draconomicon]

and

Holy Warrior (you do have War domain right?) if you have access to 4th level spells.

and/or

Power Attack

----
Or just stick with Fell Animate / DMM (Fell Animate) and use them to tank for you.

Well...thats the thing, next level I can cast animate dead and I was planning on having my undead exploding (via Destruction Retribution/Corpsecrafter from Libris Mortis) in negative energy to heal me and the rest of my undead while hurting them (Tomb-tainted soul also from LM)...that way I could melee against tough opponents capable of killing my undead and not have to worry as much about getting wiped.

I dunno, that any good?

Go for it if you want.

The problem is when the enemy plays 'smartly' and attacks you instead of yoru mooks.
