Hello. I am putting together a barbarian build for an upcoming game. I have been playing around with a few different builds and have come up with this one:

1 1 Barbarian (pounce variant) Power Attack
2 2 Barbarian
3 1 Fighter Extra Rage, Improved Unarmed Strike
4 2 Fighter Great Fortitude
5 1 Fist of the Forest
6 2 Fist of the Forest Improved Natural Attack (Unarmed)
7 3 Fist of the Forest
8 1 Bear Warrior
9 2 Bear Warrior Multi-Attack
10 3 Bear Warrior
11 4 Bear Warrior
12 5 Bear Warrior Improved Grapple
13 1 Warshaper
14 2 Warshaper
15 3 Warshaper Frozen Berserker
16 1 Frost Rager
17 2 Frost Rager
18 3 Frost Rager Multi-Grab
19 4 Frost Rager
20 5 Frost Rager

At level 20 I plan on having 5 Unarmed attacks (using the the bears shoulders, elbows, and general body slamming) 2 claws, bite, and rend from frost rager all with power attack applied.

I was wondering what race you guys think would be best? Is the order of my prestige classes correct? The game is starting at level 1. I have thought about feral human or dwarf, half-ogre, or Goliath maybe. Level buy off is allowed.

Does anyone have any feedback on how this type of build plays out through a long game? Will Saves will be a problem but eventually I can buy that item that makes you immune to domination / charm effects.

What other feats are suggested? Is anything about this build illegal?
Stats are rolled 4d6 keep 3 highest re roll 1's and 2's.

All Books are available.

Thanks for any comments!

Oh, alignment is set as any non evil, we just got done with a long evil campaign.

Deepwarden for Con to AC again. Must be a dwarf. Not a problem, as dwarves are cool.

Endurance + Steadfast Determination lets you use your Con mod in place of Wis mod for will saves.

What PrC and Feat reductions would you suggest to fit 2 deep wardens in? I could use flaws I suppose to fit more feats in. Since you recommended deep warden, I wonder if arctic dwarf would work best, I forget its exact stats, I will look them up when I can.

Anyone else have suggestions? I enjoy reading other peoples constructive criticism!

Half orc paragon and monk. Half orc paragon lets lawful character rage so you can qualify for bear warrior. I also like psionics for expansion and a few other powers.

I thought about using psionics for this build. I currently have a different barbarian who is going that rout (pouncing knockdown tripping charger).

The main benefits I see of a psionics build over this is expansion and claws of the vampire for self sustainability.

I really like the dwarf deep warden dip idea for this, trying to look for how I want to add and what 2 levels I can swap out for it.

Keep the good ideas coming!

FrostWolf, can you link me the thread where you are building yours? I would enjoy being able to siphon ideas from it!

Crystalkeep Prestige classes, page 32

You only need 2 levels in it.

You qualify by level 7 IIRC.
