This is the character that I have started a new campaign in the Forgotten Realms setting, we built the characters and decided to test them out, so the DM started us in on a premade adventure called The Sunless Citadel. The game will continue past the sunless citadel and into an actual campaign this is just the beginning. As I have never played a campaign from level 1 before I decided to keep a record of the occasion.

My party members are as follows.
Human Bard
Gold Dwarf Fighter - Thunder Twin
Gold Dwarf Barbarian -Thunder Twin
Aasamir Cleric of Kelemvor
Air Gensai Rogue

All party members are level 1 and the two with level adjustments will not take their second character levels until level 3.

EDIT: Also I realize that there is a good chance no one cares I just would like to keep a record of this to show how a Beguiler build does from this level on, The DM says the campaign should go to 20 but we don't have a set meeting day so if your interested in this please bear with me.

First Session -
It started with our group at the time(Bard Beguiler Rogue and Fighter only) starting the adventure we talked with the towns people, and found out some things about the tower, checked with the towns temple to see if they knew anything about the former occupants of the temple and they gave us a potion of cure light wounds.

So with that we were getting ready to take off, but then I decided that the Dwarf should get a horse so he could keep up with us so the rogue and I pooled our money and put down 50 gold deposit to borrow a horse. The town didn't gouge us for more money since I made a diplomacy check asking if they could help us help them.

So with that we start off on a trek, about 20 minutes into the walk we are all chatting it up and I realize, "Hey what are we gonna do with the horse while we are in the dungeon." So the dwarf rides back to town and hires a farm hand for 3 silver to watch the horse while we are in the dungeon, he runs inside his house and grabs a woodcutting axe, stating that he "needs a weapon". So after they catch up with us we have an amusing conversation about how the commoner is now like an adventurer and I get this sinking feeling we are about to get this poor guy killed. So we help him find a place to hide with the horse and we descend into the great chasm.

There is a rope already tied to a post, the rope has knots every 5 ft. or so but its a long way down so we all decide to hook up another rope and use it as support. The air gensai just levitates himself down to be safe, and we all climb. All this work was for nothing as the DC for the climb check was 0.

The dwarf climbs down first, but decided to take his armor off because of the armor check penalty involved in climb checks, So he hands his armor over to the air gensai so he can levitate it down to him after he climbs. I do the same with my lantern as the bard and I don't have darkvision, but as we are climbing down 3 dire rats run out and start attacking the dwarf, He has his tower sheild out so his AC is as still decent and they only do like 2 damage before we get down and help him kill them.(He could have done it on his own but he was rolling terrible on his attacks.)

After we kill the rats we move to another room with dead goblins in it, so we each start searching the bodies, 4 of us 4 of them, I find a spear and 4 gold...everyone else finds diddly. I find a door behind the goblin I was searching with something written on it in Draconic, and while I speak Draconic I don't understand the word. So we open the door and inside we find 3 skeletons with bows ready, we pull back into the larger room to give more room for combat and ready some actions. They come out and we all let fly with our respective readied attacks, dropping them withing 2 rounds. At this point the Dwarf has taken 5 damage of is 14 hit points and is complaining that the bard is hoarding the potion for himself. After a small bit of argument about who was gonna need it more I offended the bard by telling him that until he starts taking the hits, our fighter was more important than him and if things get really bad he needs to give up the potion.

We continue along into the next room where the bard and the dwarf use a battering ram to blow a door in, but the room is mostly caved in and uninteresting. So we move on to the room at the end of the hall. Then try the ram again but after three attacks and still nothing, the rogue opens the door using the handle and everyone laughs.

When we stop laughing and look inside we can see and hear a Kobold sitting on a cot weeping. I approach him and speak to him in Draconic. I find out whats wrong and he tells us some goblins came and stole his pet white dragon. I tell everyone else what he said and the bard makes a knowledge check to see if he knows anything about white dragons and he get a basic idea of White Dragons = evil. So after that he still agrees to help Meepo(the kobolds name).

Second Session -
Just as we are about to head into the next area to meet Meepos boss we hear someone yelling is a Scottish accent behind us. The barbarian and the cleric come into the room talking about how the Barbarian got so drunk the night before that the cleric stayed with him to make sure he wasn't going to die. The two dwarves start up an animated conversation making insane claims about their ability to hold liquor.

We then meet with Meepo's boss a female Kobold with an air of superiority about her. After exchanging pleasantries we agree to help them find the dragon, she decides to send Meepo with us as a guide and he takes us through his own way. The Dwarves stonecunning allow them to find a secret door, which neither me nor the rogue rolled high enough to figure out how to open. So the Dwarven brothers (both players actually role playing the thick Scottish accents) decided that it's time to "bring out the master key." So they slam the battering ram into a stonewall, Both Rolling Natural 20's on the strength check, So the wall crumbles to reveal a door behind it. I read in Draconic "Channel good Open" So I tell the Cleric to "do something clericy at it." He attempts 2 turning checks none of which meet the minimum hit dice so we decided that his character would decide that this was not the correct interpretation and he would give up on the door.

So having missed something most likely awesome we continue down through more hallways till we eventually find a door that opens into a room full of caltrops, ten ft by 20 ft of just straight piles of caltrops.

ACTUAL COMBAT

At the end of the hall is a wall that has caved to be about 3 ft. tall, and we hear goblins signal each other to open fire on us. So the ranged attack users waste three or four turns firing and missing before I decided it was finally time for me to cast a spell, so I grab my scroll of sleep and I drop two of the three goblins. The last one makes a run for it and we clear our way to the end of the hall, the two goblins wake up and break for it seeing two dwarves climbing over the wall. As we continue another similar room is found this time much larger and devoid of caltrops. The Rogue was not in a very stealthy mood at the point apparently as he was besieged by 6 goblins this time. So after the Fighter putting up his tower sheild for full concealment and the Barbarian actually trampling one to death, I used another spell, this time I used Silent Image to fill the room with a thick black smoke, Me and my party members had already come up with a special phrase for this event so that they would not be effected. So I yell, "The Barn Owl has fallen through the roof." and blind a couple of them 4 failed saves turn into 2 failed saves after a retry with a bonus. So the Barbarian kills one of the goblins and he is about to be attacked by the entire group, so on my turn I really get to shine, I run up and since they were all bunched up I color spray the entire group 5 failed saves and this fight is over. I was pretty happy because I really got a chance to shine. I can only hope that my usefulness scales up well.

We finally decide after the party has taken far too much damage from these guys to find a place in the dungeon to sleep. So we are searching a hallway and four goblins come through a door we were about to check, they use saps and deal a little bit of damage at which point my party makes short work of them. While this fiasco is happening I roll a 1 on a disable device check for a pit trap and fall in. DM rolls max damage and I and about to pass out from nonlethal damage. They hoist me out and I propose we barricade the hall we are in currently as there are only two ways in and there is a pit trap in front of one of them. So we barricade and rest. Cleric prepares his spells and I am recharged as well. So we decide to move on to the next room which incidentally...

ACTUAL COMBAT

We find Meepo's pet dragon in a room with ice all over the floor, The two Dwarves slip upon entry while the cleric stays in the hall behind us, Bard, Rogue and Myself all nail the balance check and the Dragon lashes out at us, He apparently didn't want to go back, So Meepo and the Rogue get shot at by its breath weapon and both hit the save and take 1 damage. I turn to Meepo and let him know that unless he can do something I knocking the dragon out, he agrees with that course of action and one color spray later its Stunned and Blinded for 4 rounds.(Yes that is the second possibly third time I have ended combat with a single action.)

So we tie up the dragon and take it back to its masters, we received a key as a gift from the Kobold leader and.....
