| #1HeavensThunderHammerMar 23, 2009 17:04:13 | I've recently picked up a lot of the 3.0/3.5 Forgotten Realms books and was wondering which of the PrCs are best for supplement core character classes? thanks! |
| #2ithamarMar 23, 2009 17:18:36 | Incantatrix is probably the best. |
| #3rymosracMar 23, 2009 17:27:41 | Incantatrix, Players Guide to Faerun. I don't expect a lot of debate on this question. There might be better PrC's for more specific criteria, but if you're looking for the best in general, I don't think there's going to be much debate on the issue. Incantatrix. |
| #4chibishuffleMar 23, 2009 17:42:47 | Three for incantatrix, players guide to faerun. I have always had a certain fondness for the divine disciple in the same book. |
| #5jameswilliamogleMar 23, 2009 17:43:10 | Harper Mage FTW! |
| #6zaxterMar 23, 2009 18:09:59 | Hammer of Moradin is pretty cool. Telflammar Shadowlord is breakable. |
| #7HeavensThunderHammerMar 23, 2009 18:46:12 | Thanks guys. I'm basically looking at running a more "pure" Forgotten Realms campaign, am thinking of mainly only allowing FR PrCs + core base classes. Any other classes/ PrCs I should allow in FR? (that are distinctly FR flavored?) thanks! ![]() |
| #8ithamarMar 23, 2009 18:48:19 | I kind of like Harper Paragon. I mean Favoured Enemy (Evil)... Who wouldn't want that?! |
| #9jameswilliamogleMar 23, 2009 19:16:37 | Nar Demonbinder, 4-sure Also, to me, Faerun is synonymous w/ Drow, so anything from Drow of the Underdark should be fair game. |
| #10innabinderMar 23, 2009 19:24:54 | Runescarred Berserker, for the party that doesn't want to have to build AROUND the Frenzied Berserker. |
| #11phoenix00Mar 23, 2009 19:43:00 | Hathran when used correctly with other stuff. From PGTF as well as Incantatrix |
| #12grifter730_dupMar 23, 2009 19:45:03 | Telflammar Shadowlord from Unapproachable East. |
| #13HeavensThunderHammerMar 23, 2009 19:46:01 | Runescarred Berserker, for the party that doesn't want to have to build AROUND the Frenzied Berserker. What's the difference betweent the two? I have looked over Frenzied Beserker before... And man, that PrC is sick... a bit too overpowered unfortunately, awesome concept though. |
| #14dr_rocktopusMar 23, 2009 20:28:32 | I love the Halruuan Elder, which does actually stack well with the incanatrix for an immense amount of mojo-centric options. Other favorites for me include the Nar Demonbinder who does silly things to your caster progression. Sure his spell list sucks, but there are ways to fix that. |
| #15innabinderMar 23, 2009 20:46:34 | What's the difference betweent the two? Runescarred Berserker gets SLAs (if I recall correctly, been a long time since I looked) from their scarification. Frenzied Berserker gets OMG pots of damage and their 'I'm too mad to die' frenzy. |
| #16dr_rocktopusMar 23, 2009 21:20:57 | Too mad to die is far better than it sounds. With frenzied berserker, just have your friendly mage cast dominate person on you, pick up some spell resistance, and it's cruise-missile-o-clock! Can't reach the enemy? Get shot out of a cannon. You won't die before they do! That's off-topic though, since that's not really a FR specific PrC. |
