| #1werebatMay 28, 2008 23:14:30 | What are the best low-level (level 1-3) spells to enhance with Persistent Spell? Let's just say that a 7th level character is able to do Sudden Persist. It could be any class (Wizard, Cleric, Druid, etc). Which would be the best ones to affect with it? - Ron ^*^ |

| #3caelicMay 29, 2008 17:00:52 | It kinda depends on what you're trying to do. Divine Favor is a splendid choice for a cleric who plans on wading into combat, but it wouldn't be such a good choice for an Archivist focused on party support, just for instance. |
| #4aftercrescentMay 29, 2008 17:25:00 | You can also do your own research. There are numerous threads listing persistable spells, organized by level, class, etc |
| #5jaronkMay 29, 2008 18:45:49 | Blessed Aim is level 1 and is great if you have enough archers in the party, so that's something. Lesser Mass Vigor is probably the best though. JaronK |
| #6ChristopherGrovesMay 29, 2008 18:54:21 | Swift Haste. Swift Flight. |
| #7blargney_the_secondMay 29, 2008 19:28:47 | Wraithstrike... |
| #8tytalusMay 30, 2008 3:20:06 | Depends on your caster level, too. If it's very low, then things like Divine Favor won't be so stellar. Protection from Evil is not bad (same benefit regardless of CL). Good choices are usually the swift cast / last 1 round spells (Wraithstrike, Swift XXX), as they have a relatively low spell level to balance out their reduced duration. |
| #9DLoFunkMay 30, 2008 8:25:40 | 1st lvl spells I like persisting: Sanctuary PH p274 Vigor, Lesser CDiv p186 Ray of Hope BoED p105 Divine Favor PH p224 Deathwatch PH 217 I'll get to some 2nd and 3rd later. |
| #10tytalusMay 30, 2008 9:36:33 | Sanctuary PH p274 Since touch spells are not persistable, Lesser Vigor and Sanctuary both won't work. Ray of Hope also doesn't qualify since it has a variable range. |
| #11lokilokssMay 30, 2008 11:56:45 | However, Mass lesser vigor does and it's a good one to use as far as I have read. |
| #12DLoFunkMay 30, 2008 16:34:51 | Since touch spells are not persistable, Lesser Vigor and Sanctuary both won't work. I've looked around and can't seem to find a ruling that Touch isn't a Fixed Range, only arguments back and forth about whether it is or not. Any chance you know of one and could direct me to it? I'll grant you the Ray of Hope, though. Didn't notice the Close-Range on it. |
