Best Spells for a Sorcerer/Prestige Bard

I need reccomendations for spells known for a prestige bard.

The rest of the party is: A ~~barbarian working his way up the werewolf lord savage progression~~ sniper/archer type big on powerful single shots rather than frequent attacks, a goblin tinker / steam warrior from the WOW RPG (~~these two are~~ he is our front liners -- the steam warrior basically pilots a Large-sized steampunk mecha), ~~a rogue~~, and a sorcerer who loves firey blasting spells. We may have a healing-focused cleric joining us, but I'm not certain. Hopefully a melee tripper cleric (probably going to become a cleric/crusader or an eldritch disciple) who had to leave due to RL circumstances will return in a few sessions.

Currently at sixth level - Human Paragon 1 / Sorcerer 1-2 / Human Paragon 2-3 / Prestige Bard 1

I want to be able to help the party out and serve as a passable archer once the buffs are up. Bonus if a spell can somehow be rationalized into an 'air' theme (the character has vaguely air-related powers -- thanks to a houserule he's able to have a small air elemental familiar without the improved familiar feat), but this isn't absolutely necessary -- some odd powers can just be explained as mysterious sorcerous power that he does not yet fully understand.

Setting notes: Planescape, 2E style though adapted to 3E (some planewalker.org material, but this is set before the Faction War). The game is a bit more social themed, but there certainly will be combat.

Another thing to note about my class:
A prestige bard casts arcane spells from the schools of divination, enchantment, and illusion at +2 caster level. She casts arcane spells from the schools of evocation and necromancy at -2 caster level.

Jul 08, 2008 19:19:54 Shadowcraft Mage would work great. Float around on a rock that's sitting on a Shadow Evocation Greater Floating Disk.
