Sep 25, 2008 16:40:19 Anyone ever seen the acronym before? I've got somebody claiming it has 339 roots. I suspect it's just a play on my name though.

Even if that fights against your sense of logic, I read this board for optimizational ideas and dilemmas, not acronyms. Making me feel guilty on this is not going to work, if that was what you tried.

I happened to know the answer to the question, and was able to track down the accredited sources with little difficulty. If I offended in some way by so doing, I sincerely apologize; it was not my intent.

It's been in Jell Moo and RadicalTaoist's sig before, and he (RT) links it currently through a terminology thread started by Sylvaroth. It's in the archives headed with DO NOT PRUNE: Dictionary of Terminology (II).

Jell Moo is a no-name. RT links a metric ton of **** in his sig that flows in and out fairly quickly. Figures I'd miss it in there. As for the terminology thread, must be an outdated term. That thread isn't 339 so much as 17.
