| #1hibiscusMay 22, 2008 13:05:10 | i am in a primarily combat based campaign and my base class is sorcerer. i am very fond of messing around with the combat area and monsters over dealing damage I.E baleful transposition, touch of idiocy. that being said i a torn on what prestige to take i like the ability to carry a bunch of spells around with me that cant be stolen via Scarification and Blood Draught. i also like being able to have more of my most handy spells. however the incatatrix seems very good for abusing spell permanence. i suppose incatatrix would fill the support role more powerfully but blood magus could fill the support role with more spell volume. i know this is a character Optimization board so i know you guys would know the best each could be so i was hoping some one could help me. thanks a ton ^_^ as an aside i am deeply sorry i this is a misplaced post. |

You tell me? While you "have more" to work with the blood magus, you'll actually get WAY more bang for your buck with Incantrix via the lessend metamagic costs, plus you won't slow you spell progression, which is vital when you're already behind a wizard. |
| #3hibiscusMay 22, 2008 13:12:49 | that is absolutly true. i missed the caster level loss thanks a ton |
| #4gafferMay 22, 2008 13:28:50 | INCANTATRIX |

| #9darksamuariMay 22, 2008 21:03:57 | I would recommend Blood Magus only if you want a highly thematically flavored character constructed around the concept of blood. If not, than mechanically Incatatrix is stronger. |

| #15darksamuariMay 23, 2008 9:38:03 | Thematics and flavor are important aspects to a character and I personally try to focus on them during character creation. This helps all my characters from not ending up being Planar Shepards. |

| #17darksamuariMay 23, 2008 12:07:10 | I've already felt that a great optimizer is able to find a nice balance between making a character powerful and flavorful. But thats just me. |
