| #3awaken_D_M_golemSep 29, 2009 16:45:42 | Note - there were lots of debates, about how exactly Bloodlines work. No truly exact answer was forthcoming. "Similarly, the stunning attacks of a 3rd-level monk with one bloodline level have a save DC equal to 12 (10 + one-half class level) plus her Wisdom modifier, since the bloodline level is treated as if it were a monk class level when calculating the save DC. A 3rd-level monk/3rd-level sorcerer with two bloodline levels would be treated as a 5th-level spellcaster and a 5th-level monk for determining level-based abilities." This seemed to be the easiest - if you could call it that - rule based way to understand what a Bloodline did. Monk 3 keeps only up to monk 3 class abilities / Sorc 3 keeps only up to sorc 3 abilities / Bloodline 2 adds 2 levels to pre-existing class abilities only. You are a Monk 5 but with only the Monk 3 abilities , and a Sorc 5 with only the Sorc 3 abiilties. And even then, it's still arguable what happens. Phoenix00 spotted many tricks, some of which are still Search findable. An attempt at a guide happened, but where did it go ??

| #5kypriothSep 29, 2009 21:05:39 | Yeah, I thought I would be able to delete this, but apparently not. What I am doing is similar, but with a warlock. Say you are a 9 warlock/3 hellfire warlock, and then take bloodline levels after that, your eldritch blast damage would be very high. 6d6 from base warlock, 6d6 from hellfire warlock, not too bad, but not amazing. Tada! 21d6 damage without magic items or anything. At will. This gets crazy with infusions, and the metamagic spell like ability feats, not to mention if you have several PrC's that all improve warlock levels or eldritch blast damage.
