#1 hijaxx Mar 28, 2009 13:44:42	Bob, The crossbow hurler i was flipping through complete warrior when i saw the deadeye shot ability of the master thrower. I immidiately thought: disciple of dispater! But sadly, when i looked at the weapons section of the PHB, i realized no throw weapons had good damage and crit statistics. But i then looked at excotic weapon master, and here is the result! bob the crossbow hurler fighet 8/psiwar 2/ disciple of dispater 8/master thrower 1/exotic weapon master 1 feats: precise shot, exotic weapon profiency(heavy repeating crossbow), point blank shot, weapon focus(any thrown weapon), weapon focus(HRC), expertise, power attack, disciple of darkness, improved critical(HRC), victor's luck, better lucky than good, unbelievable luck, fortuitous strike. the point of this madness try hurling a a heavy crossbow. have it be made from steel. it have a crit range of 13-20(x4 from iron power and imp crit), and also crits on 1. we can reroll confirmation rolls. we deal 1d10x3 damage on a crit. get a +1 returning flaming burst icy burst shocking burst weapon. expensive? not the point. this thing will now deal 9d10 damage on a crit, which we have 45% chance of doing (assuming we make our confirmation roll). no, this is not very powerful. but i think it is very hilarious.

#6 hijaxx Mar 28, 2009 14:39:22	well, i guess i would only use one super-enchanced, with maybe one of the bursts on the other crossbows. keep in mind im using returning crossbows, which means i dont run out. it's still very expensive, though. hooray for infinite money tricks! EDIT: a question that might help improve this crit-hurler= is there any way i could make martial weapon count as exotic?

#8 hijaxx Mar 29, 2009 3:22:58	boB the hurling reaper this is a (in my opinion) more optimized version of build 1. drop the exotic weapon master level and take two levels of fighter. take the feat throw anything. replace heavy repeating crossbow with scythe. ok, only 17-20 crit chance. but we can make a good amount of rerolls, and on a crit it deals 10D4 damage! thats without 'burst' weapon special abilities!

At second level, it makes whatever you throw act like it has the Returning property and at 4th, it makes whatever you throw return as a free action, so you can make a full ranged attack throwing the same weapon over and over again.
